Vidya is more akin to Literature than any other form of art as it requires to actually physical effort to do. You can't stare blankly at a book or game unlike TV, Film and music

Why do peabrains always pick C&P as Dosto's best book?
Because it is?
Left to right row 1 then row 2
Ripped straight from the throat of Yahtzee. It requires no imagination though, as all the images and world characters are visually present. Ill agree it has the potential to be a sophisticated art form, but in the modern AAA era games are struggling to find their aesthetic niche, to make choice (their greatest differentiation from other mediums) meaningful, or establish a story that is not a cinematic rip off or passive atmospheric witnessing of a very interesting fictional world. Agency, choice, aesthetics and player POVs, must be ironed out before any game will be considered art
>Reading books to imagine shit
What are you, a fucking kid?
Because they have been told that this is his best. Its not like anyone of them had actually read it.

redpill me on banjotooie. what went wrong? where did the soul go?
Yea Forums is too stupid and racist for Jazz.
>extremely distinguished and mature Yea Forums dude puts on his reading glasses and dusts off the cover of his favorite classical novel. The characters names, descriptions, and world are nonexistent, the same color of the page. In this dry, purely linguistic appreciation of great fiction the author's true meaning is only understood by rote summary of the events. Symbols? Fuck off. Allusions? Similes? The fuck are those for? Those descriptions of the physical characterisrics of the object were only a means by which the other could show us the great Mastery he has of the English language.
Yikes
Tokyo story bored the fuck out of me
loved Early Spring though, don't know how that works
I think it was the refreshing character of that woman who plays the daughter, the same sort she plays in Tokyo Story
