Depends on the book. For Ulysses like 35? For a regular book that isn't jammed with a million allusions, puns, intentional misspellings etc. maybe 50-75.

Average? Probably something like 0.5

50-100 from academic publications and more or less 100 from novels.

Since I got goodreads which I got last october, I read 25 pages a day on average. This amounted to me reading 26 books in this period. I am quite happy with this, its not a huge task either. Going to stick with this pace for a while. Cosistency is key.

50-200 pages

like 10

I mainly read books on ebooks.adelaide.edu.au and there is no page counter in it, I just read for my own enjoyment.

35-ish? I’ve been reading less than I usually have these days

30-ish
I only read while taking a shit

~100-ish usually

20-30

Depends on how into the book I am.

I could breeze through 100 pages of lovecraft in an afternoon, but am struggling through 10 pages at a time with kafka l

I would agree with the sentiments here. Denser novels written 100-200 years ago can get one's mind mired in a culture unfamiliar, where syntax and verbiage slog down the procession of reading while one attempts to connect the dots of a time long-forgotten. Reading Milton? Takes me an entire afternoon to translate what he's attempting to convey. Reading Camus? I tumble down the staircase of simplicity without a snag. It's all relative isn't it? Contemporary and simple language are much more easily navigable than a Victorian prose with every word in the dictionary thrown into a sentence, especially when those words have been out of the public sphere for centuries.

Stupid question, obviously it depends on the style, the subject, the font size, the amount of free time, &c.

However many pages the book is.

Depends on the book and how easy it is to understand. But usually 80 average

Can bringing up Ulysses unprompted become a bannable offense ffs

It's what I'm re-reading now, so sorry if I offended your sensibilities.

30-50, on average. Depends on the book, some pages read really fast while others don't. The Leopard, which I'm reading right now, seems to take forever despite being quite short, due to the small font and dense pages, not to mention the prose that you just don't want to blaze through.

It really depends on the book. Some I can easily plough through a 100-150 a day. Others maybe 30-50.
