One of the better and actually readable Yea Forums memes
My favorite book. It’s beautiful
Yeah i wish Edith got a slap
Edith was a terrible wife and person, but the fact that they learned to love each other and exept the consequences of their choices and how they lived is special. as much as "forgiveness"" is memed on. It is a central theme in the book. I love this book so much, i didn't expect to get what i got out of it, Truly a /lit classic.
Every Dave Masters scene (or whatever his name was, it's been a while) was cringe. Especially the later ones when they're reminiscing
I agree, I like the reminiscing because its what bring him and Gordon finch closer and what made them stay close and friends. But agreeded the scenes with him in it felt like he was setting him up to be "that guy", that fucking died
just read it for the second time
i detest stoner about as much as edith this time round. what a limp wristed autist
Imagine getting memed into Stoner and the not reading Augustus.
what's special about a failed marriage based on emotional repression and posturing
The way it's written
what are some books with this sort of honest writing style?
Is Augustus decent?
My diary desu
It is very good, though I would say that both Stoner and Butcher's Crossing are better. I'm not usually very interested in historical fiction but I really liked it
It slaps! Cuz it’s good. I actually didn’t read it I’m just making fun of you guys cuz I’m bitter /thread
>it felt like he was setting him up
I felt like several parts of the book seemed contrived, especially the Charles Walker part

goodbye, reddit
If you've got a better system for two people living under the same roof I'd like to hear it.
Link to its pdf or epub?
It's terrific. In my mind it is slightly better than Butcher's Crossing and almost on par with Stoner.
He raped his wife.
