Obligatory
Not my favorite in the series, by far. I wasn't the biggest fan of the entire Quint trilogy.
children books about edging?
Kinda zoomer but oh how I digged this shit
Mom bought me this.
I thought only the cover art was kind of scary
Oops
Reminds me of Elf Quest art.
oh, i liked this one
was this where the villian had that bottomless pit beneath the castle?
very redwall
probably why i'm into IJ, William Gaddis, etc
Kino
the one that started it all...
my favorite YA series growing up. i was always annoyed it seemed pretty unknown in the states. ever so often i'll find another user on here who was a fan.
I always liked the Little House on the Prairie books
I picked this out of a free library and read right through it, wtf was this when I was a kid.
I will never not be mad about what they did to Maugin.
>be me in elementary
>see all the other kids reading this book
>check cover
>"oh cool, some zombie-vampire guy; neat'
>read book
>fine, but no monster reveal
>turns out it's a series
>"oh well, it must be in a later book"
>ten books later, no fucking monster reveal
>fuck this shit (still bought the newer ones- but still no fucking monster reveal)
>flash to high school english class
>teacher breaks us up into groups to try discussing and analysizng books
>recomends we use a book we've all read and understand to start
>me: "how about that fucking zombie book with the orphans, what was up with that?"
>mfw everyone thinks I'm high octane retard
This guy right here knows what's up.
I don't know if choose your own adventure books count, but I'm making them count. This series was lit as hell.
Underrated
The Chronicles of Prydain
based
Memories are dim now, but I remember these. Also, I had a big book that I have no memories of except that involved two tribes of monsters having a tug-o-war at one point and a fairy burns the rope in the middle so it snaps.
based brian jacques, the reason I grew up to be a racist
Never did finish the trilogy.
You sound retarded
I liked this trilogy along with pretty much anything to do with survival in nature. Paulsen's books were great.
really makes me happy whenever someone posts this series, I haven't met one person irl who knows it.
These books were the shit bad in elementary school. I kind of want to reread them for the sake of nostalgia but I’m afraid it won’t hold up and just disappoint me
The Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen and George MacDonald.
Earthsea
The Last Unicorn
This is terrific, thank you user
based and gempilled
&
This
The Hobbit
holy shit i’d forgotten about that series up until now. i don’t know if i ever read the books but i remember playing the online game on scholastic.com in the public library lol
Im not familiar with this work but the silverwing series by the same author was something I enjoyed very much as a kid
The forest in these books remains one of my favorite settings out of everything I’ve read.
