He's pretty good.

Handsome as fuck.

Surprisingly good Voice Actor

Is I have no mouth and I must scream his best work?

PAY THE FUCKING AUTHOR

that star trek episode he wrote was pretty based

What should I read from him? No Mouth and The Beast seem like obvious candidates, but what else?

He could have given them a can opener

Son of a bitch but our son of a bitch.

Alone against tomorrow and Approaching infinity are both good collections.

thank god he was a turbo manlet (fucking >5' 3") otherwise he would not have been so angry all the time, and then we might have never gotten some of the best golden age short stories

No. "'Repent, Harlequin!' said the Ticktockman" is definitely better, and I think that "Adrift off the Islets of Langerhans" is better as well.

His being a Jew was also clearly a source of asshurt for him.

likes to talk about himself and the famous people he knows. if you ever got on his bad side he'd shit on you to every one he knew.

collected stories for "The Last Dangerous Visions" and basically sat on them for over forty years. it was still unpublished when he died. a lot of the contributors died of old age waiting.

>Jelly beans! Millions and billions of purples and yellows and greens and licorice and grape and raspberry and mint and round and smooth and crunchy outside and soft-mealy inside and sugary and bouncing jouncing tumbling clittering clattering skittering fell on the heads and shoulders and hardhats and carapaces of the Timkin workers, tinkling on the slidewalk and bouncing away and rolling about underfoot and filling the sky on their way down with all the colors of joy and childhood and holidays, coming down in a steady rain, a solid wash, a torrent of color and sweetness out of the sky from above, and entering a universe of sanity and metronomic order with quite-mad coocoo newness. Jelly beans!

One of the best sentences ever written. The man is an overlooked legend, at least outside of speculative fiction circles.

>pipe smoker
haven't read him but must be based

also the typewriter

based as heck

Read him lad. He pretty much exclusively wrote short stories and most of them don't take very long to read.

nevermind I was wrong, I read "I have no mouth and I must scream." it was neat

Love his reading of his own short stories.

Loved posting his books online just to watch him lose his shit.

A message from Harlan to (You)

Frantic kike manlet but based

Deathbird Stories is his best, especially if you can find a version with the original story selection. There's a new version with extra stories, which is fine, but it lacks the punchy brevity of the original.

Superb voice actor. Presented truly unpleasant scenarios and gave plausible accounts on how people might confront them. Does not overstay welcome.
