Can I get a quick rundown on him

vertical wives

Schuon was basically a hippy. No doubt he had some excellent Traditional wisdom, but he lacked Guenon's wit and Evola's supremacy at basically everything.

he made a very compelling cult leader tho. people practically worship him to this day

Where I live, there's a whole group of retired academics who went over and lived with Schuon. They do indeed worship the fellow.

i wonder how many of their kids are his little bastards

okay so if I want to understand this Traditionalism/Esotericism shit, what are the texts I need to read in chronological order before tackling Guenon?

Have a basic knowledge of Abrahamic religions then just dive in to Introduction to the study of Hindu doctrines. The first half of the book is an overview of Guenon's worldview, the second half is specific to Hinduism.

You gotta be born Catholic and experiment with occultism in your youth followed by reading all holy texts, majoring in philosoohy, and learning a dead language or two in early adulthood. Only then will you receive direct transmission of enlightenment from the text. Sorry Hindus. Catholic is the luckiest rebirth.

>reading holy texts
>catholic
Last time I checked, Catholic non-priests who read the bible were called "protestants".

Not at all. Every Catholic kid reads the Bible in ther catechism in preparation for their first communion.

Hello twitter

thanks, I'll check it out

What is the best traditional language to learn? Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Sanskrit, Latin, Persian, Chinese, Pali, Tibetan, etc.? The list goes on and on. Seems like Greek would be the most practical to a westerner but I'm not sure

Only a protestant would try to make people believe that catholic catechism is the same as reading the bible and studying it.
You are a protestant, not a catholic.
Period.

greek isnt a sacred language in the way sanskrit, persian, arabic, and hebrew are. not all traditions have sacred languages.

The only sacred languages are the celtic languages.
The only traditions are celtic.

You are right. However, there is still a lot of traditional material written in it that despite the lack of sacred language, is still of great value. Corpus Hermeticum, Neo Platonism New Testament etc

Stop posting these fourth rate thinkers.

>stinky carpet dealers
>thinkers

yeah, i wasnt implying otherwise. not all traditions have or need sacred languages. semitic traditions generally have them because spoken word is more important in those cultures. western traditions employ sacred architecture and art more than sacred texts

>semitic
>traditions
LOL

hehe you owned those cringe and bluepilled ancient cultures

Getting back to my original question though, what do you think is the best language to learn for traditional studies? I don't think I will ever be initiated in a far eastern tradition so I honestly have just been thinking Greek latin or Hebrew

Tell me more about me, my life and my ancestors, user.

>eastern
>tradition

the best language to learn is one relevant to your tradition. latin, in the context of catholicism, is a liturgical language not a sacred language. according to guenon the sacred language of the West is still Hebrew since they dont have their own indigenous one. i would learn that because a lot of western esoterism employs it

The indigenous languages of the West are the celtic languages.
Celtic languages are the only sacred languages.

yeah but there is no living sacred tradition associated with them. people larping as druids doesnt count

The only living sacred tradition is celtic.

They will all get you where you wanna go but the questions is where you wanna go. Hebrew is good for kabbalah which is pretty unique and favored by occultists as well but it seems many people dislike Judaism alas.

Hebrew is not a celtic language, it's not sacred.
Kabbalah is not celtic, it has no value.
Judaism is not celtic, it can't be a religion.

Celtic troll is dumb troll.

celtic is indoeuropean horse invader language and thus alien to europe, basque, etruscan and rhaetian are were its at bro

I feel a strange smell of OLAVETE in this thread.

what's your point, are you one of these Christian Identity weirdos or something
