I know I'm subscribed to other podcasts, but I'll only play them if the topic they are covering seems interesting. I'm honestly trying to cut back on podcasts because I feel like they are interfering with time I could spend reading, listening to music (which I have really neglected lately–although I need new headphones anyways), or being alone with my own thoughts, even.

I like the name "weird studies" is it horror themed? I would not mind at all incorporating horror podcasts, but the ones I've checked out tend to skew meandering, poorly produced, or lacking insight.

Not really. The "dependent" category rarely has anything that interests me and even when they have something, I don't need to listen to the whole thing. Example, I listened to a recent FTN, got some good information about the case underlying Roe v. Wade (Griswold v. Connecticut) and moved on. I briefly read the description of the "dependent" podcasts and listen strategically for what I want to hear or skip entirely.

The "regardless category" podcasts are brief and/or infrequent. Entitled Opinions is only put out part of the year, the poetry podcasts are seldom more than 20 minutes. Talking Politics is probably the lengthiest, most regular one and I usually listen to that while I'm cleaning or ironing.

Just because most podcasts/streams are idiotic doesn't mean that some don't have value, either in whole or in part.

I don't really listen to podcasts, but Caustic Soda was enjoyable.

Not, you only really have a problem if you let strangers in the internet tell you what to do. Yea Forums has many ripe users and some boards are some of the least toxic places on the internet nowadays.

I know many total loosers in real life that have probably never heard of Yea Forums and many normal guys that I suspect have.

I would have absolutely no problem still visting this site in my 30s or 40s as long as I enjoy the discussions and get something out of it (in any way). Just because you are here doesn't make you a looser but if you believe this you should just leave and we would all be better off.

If you go to the BBC website and search on our time they have all the episodes available to listen to, its been on for about 20 years now. They're often grouped by subject, although this is poorly done cos it's the BBC, so you generally need to find one on a subject that you're interested in then look for the links for more episodes about that subject

I never miss an episode of Peter Schiff's podcast. I've been listening to more Tom Woods than Ron lately, but they're both good.

Anyways, Peter Schiff's podcast has the best social commentary you will find anywhere. Unfortunately for the plebs, his podcasts are mostly about economics. Everything he says is straightforward and retroactively seems obvious.

I wish he would do a separate podcast with just social commentary to attract more normie's into the Schiffosphere.

I used to follow podcast recaps, and then i got into the actual pods, but overs the years so many great character adds haves been dropped that im actually listening to eps now. So far couple good eps in

Podcasts are a thing to listen to while you drive or workout.

While I share your sentiment because there are a lot of people who seem to have replaced reading almost entirely with podcasts and now get their entire worldview from Joe Rogan and Sam Harris or maybe Sam Harris and NPR. These are the dude bros and the absolute pseuds.
