It's a pretty easy read. And it fucking sucks.
Michael C. Ford actually has some interesting poetry, as long as you avoid the sports inspired shit; particularly "Polluting the Poetry Pool" - wherein he names Ginsberg.
>tfw read the last 150 pages of Within a Budding Grove
>only 1/3 through the series
You guys ever read a book and you are gung ho as fuck and then about 2/3 of the way through it turns into an absolute slog to the end? I am reading The Technological Society and it has done this. I don't have much left but man does it feel like it is taking forever.
This happened to me with Sapiens...read around 300 pages in three days then took another three days to read the last 100...Still a good book though.
This is the War and Peace experience.
>You guys ever read a book and you are gung ho as fuck?
"Gung ho" means perfect harmony.
>then about 2/3 of the way through it turns into an absolute slog to the end?
The repetition of Psalms broke me when I was reading The Bible. It was a bear to restart and I lost my momentum - and never got further than finishing Isaiah. If I had it to redo then I would have skipped Psalms and just gone back to it.
Just treat the book as neverending, the weight of the pages to go will crush you otherwise
>tfw read TWO plays yesterday
started reading a hoffman book three months ago, plan on continuing and possibly finishing it today
>tfw haven't enjoyed reading in 2 years
Start with the greeks.
>mfw almost finished the 900 page work I've been reading for the last 2 months
Slow but steady
fuck you
>read 100 pages from Book of Disquiet
>feel like I didn't understand fucking shit
