Tupac's poetry was "for niggers" as well as most other rap poets because the themes of the poems are mainly about "the hood" or other struggles that the audience is meant to identify with.

That’s kind of a regarded question and indicative of the state of pop culture. Plenty of rock etc is poetic. Is it ‘poetry for white people’. I think it’s easy to forget that white people have plenty of good music.

Plenty of rap is good. I used to smoke very high grade weed with a friend in highschool and we’d listen to rap and rock, and whatever really.

Obviously poetry is poetry. Woke slam poetry is probably more in line with ‘poetry for black people’.

If the blues influenced rock, then white music obviously influenced the blues.

You don’t see modern music coming out of traditional African etc culture.
