Lefitsm is so ideologically dogmatic about egalitarianism that it has to enforce it downwards through their elites, or ignore anything that is contrary to their equality narrative. Hence they ignore and lambaste race realism.

The right is not dogmatic about egalitarianism, in fact it openly accepts hierarchies as they naturally occur and seeks to make them thrive; thus if it turns out for example that say, IQ differs between races, then they aren't going to immediately shout down or ignore the evidence or call for policy to be implemented to give those with lower IQs an advantage. They will say 'okay, that is a hierarchy that exists, we should try to make the most of it and help each individual thrive within their own bounds'. Also, people on the right aren't inherently against movement between hierarchies so long as the movement between them is based on merit, not mandate. Nobody on the right cares if some black guy has an IQ of 190, good for him, yet the left will absolutely care if you say 'statistically speaking the average IQ for a black american is between 80 and 90'.

There's also the matter of the JQ, especially in acadaemia, but that's an entire issue in and of itself.

Based on the posts o this thread I'm guessing none of you have a background in neurobiology education, so let's explain some things really quick.

As this user () pointed out, humans share 98% of DNA with our closest "cousins", the chimpanzees, as long as 99,9% of interindividual DNA among ourselves, being the differences mostly LTRs, STRs and SNPs.

LTRs and STRs are used as signaling mechanisms for acetylization and methilization of the promoter and silencer regions for certain genes. Such processes have been discovered a relatively short time ago, and are known as part of a bigger process known as epigenetics.

Epigenetics are the temporal intergenerational modifications based of the DNA which do not affect the structure itself, thus explaining the huge difference between humans and other close primates or mammals in terms of "intelligence" and other traits.

Such modifications have been documented to appear in as short time as a single generation and based on the circumstances or environment of the parents, this is the case in the Ob gene, related to obesity which was being over-expressed in the children and grand-children of those who suffered famine during WWII and post-WWII in the Netherlands (I don't recall the name of the study right now).

Also, IQ is a highly inaccurate and approximative measure of what we understand as intelligence and has been abandoned in the medical and neurobiological field for years, being used the Multiple Intelligences Theory as of nowadays. The brain is highly complex and we barely understand it, reducing it to a number (calculated by a test which you can train for and score significantly higher after barely 3-4 months of training, by the way) is ridiculous.

Also, the debate of Nature vs. Nurture is very intrincate in this case since studies with Dizigotic and Monozigotic twins shows that the socio-economic upbringing plays a crucial role in the devolpment of the mind and it's capabilities.

To summarize, there are vast amounts of data which contradict the theory of an innate or genetical intelligence, being the environment much more crucial. Studies showing racial disparities in IQ which ignore the environment of the sample are fundamentally flawed in it's methods and approach to the problem. There are not enough differences between the haplotypes in the human race to even be talking about "races" as we bioogically understand them (do you realize chihuahuas and german shepherds belong to the same species and could breed? Those are races, not differences in skin color or hair texture).

But as pointed out, this is not about scientific accuracy, it's about proving a set of humans "suck".

Race doesn't exist. It's a Western concept with no scientific basis that doesn't appear in any other cultures in history. Pic related was not only able to explain how racism appeared in the Western psyche, but also that belief in a universal "white race" is a symptom of the loss of personal identity in the formless masses of the modern West. It is true that there are many different types of cups, varying in size and shape and appearance, and indeed the properties of each individual cup differ in some way, yet the category 'cup' is nevertheless employed by us because of its utility; ie, to say 'get me a cup' is to say, 'get me an object that was designed for drinking out of'.
This same principle applies to biology and, consequently, races. What can we say about races? Well, they're a mix of genetic clusters that manifest themselves phenotypically so that one can distinguish them by sight. Fair enough, but how is this useful in biology? Indeed, it appears to be the predominant view among anthropologists that it is in fact not useful(ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5299519/) and that more localised forms of categorisation are required for fruitful analysis.
An example of this is sickle cell anaemia. Race realists incessantly repeat that black people carry the genetic proclivity to develop this disease when in fact it is only a specific portion of black people from a specific area in Africa that carry the gene. Race, here, might serve as a predictor (similar to how class can serve as a predictor for IQ), but will tell you nothing about whether the person actually has the gene, for which a localised and particularised analysis of genes would be required. Thus, race is not useful as a biological category.
