Ambient music. I listen to the sound of rain and the noise of mechanical fans. I live in a non-reading household. Loud jeers from noontime shows always pervade my reading. Ambient music has been helpful for me.

Boards of Canada can be too distracting at times.
The fewer intelligible words, the better.

I used to listen Ambient 2: Plateaux Of Mirror by Brian Eno, MONO & World's End Girlfriend - Palmless Prayer and William Basinski - Disintegration Loops and pic related as well. But is right, it's so much better don't listen to any music while reading.
