Petersburg by Andrei Biely is apparently considered a masterpiece (I think Nabokov said it was the best 20thC novel written) but I found the style to be so tedious and repetitive. There's only so much description you can give of the River fucking Neva.

Gravity's Rainbow

The Greeks desu

Infinite Jest is terrible but I don't think any one calls it a masterpiece unironically.

Uhhh...yeah...I'm sure nobody on Yea Forums thinks its a masterpiece...especially not me... :3

well, it's DFW's masterpiece...

You can not like something but appreciate it's objective merits. I hate reading Gary Paulson's stuff but I can see why people like it and the messages that it conveys are sound, I just dislike the actual content.

That’s not me B.B. ;3

one hundred years of solitude is boring and pointless

Nabokov is a hack.
Nabokov, Vladimir. Dislike him.

Here it is. You got It, kid. Congratulations.

Farenheit 451, and also this it's unironically a masterpiece, and I'm saying this unironically

Anyway, I think Confederacy of Dunces. Maybe not a masterpiece, but it seems popular. I didn’t hate it, I even laughed once or twice in the beginning, but it got old very quickly. Somehow it felt boring and repetitive compared to Don Quixote I read earlier. I just didn’t seem to get it. Maybe I’ll try again after I’m done with this 14th century Italian merchant porno.
