What are some artists that would be considered far-right by today's standards?

Attached: file.jpg (1134x1056, 310K)

Almost every artist/writer prior to the 1940's or 1960's

Even Debussy was an anti-semitic nationalist

NIetsche was definitely not a leftist, but he would have hated today's far right. Hated nationalism and antisemitism, criticized traditional morality, notions of guilt and sin, called to affirm life and transform values.

It would be really dumb to try and fit Nietzsche into either left or right, but lets be honest here, if he had a gun to his head and was forced to vote left or right, he would choose right by a wide margin

>but he would have hated today's far right. Hated nationalism and antisemitism, criticized traditional morality, notions of guilt and sin, called to affirm life and transform values.

That's because that shit was the day's normie beliefs. Today, things have degenerated so far that those old values look superior.

I wonder what Nietzsche would think of cosmopolitan globalism now.

not really "far right" but it's pretty funny to see people like Adorno hated in Marxist circles these days - his elitism and unrelenting hatred for pop culture makes them feel uncomfortable. and yeah, what
said.

this is certainly true but this thread is about artists which would be misconstrued into a political ideology regardless of whether or not they fit the bill - not being a moralist and rejecting censorship is enough to get you labeled as a Nazi in some circles, unfortunately.

>implying he wouldn't just write in Wotan

if we're being totally honest he would actually vote left, but yeah it is stupid to try to categorize his philosophy into today's political paradigm.
But, gun to his head, if we're being totally forthright and honest with ourselves, cut out all the bullshit, he would be a left libertarian market anarchist.

He would definitely be labeled a far-right fascist tho.

I'm not knowledgeable about the Frankfurt School but isn't Adorno one of the reasons Neomarxism is a thing?

cosmopolitan globalism today and in Nietzsche's time are incredibly similar. 1880s central Europe makes today's experiments in multiculturalism look like a bitch.
Go read his arguments against "the old values" and antisemimtism. They are still very applicable. Actually it's the left who has changed enough that Nietzsche may endorse their viewpoint, assuming he's endorsing any political platform (big assumption)

actually no, but I see where you are coming from, but you are wrong.

Vince Vaughn, Mel Gibson, Carrottop, Ted Nougat

>TFW Phil professor constantly goes on about how Neechuh brought about duh nazis
Got I hate academia

Why's that?

'ates traditional values
'ates popular notions of morality
'ates shame/disgust (thus would be against policies based on those emotions- read: All Of Conservative Social Policy)
'ates antisemitism
'ates collectivism
'ates life-denial
'ates hierarchy

simple as.

If we were really honest, he'd actually vote for Macron and say "fuck you plebs".

Attached: macron.png (1200x1200, 1.26M)

Definetely not Nietzche. Economically he was (believe it or not) an ancap, and socially he couldn't care less if the mighty "European race" was being replaced, he himlsef rooted for the jew.
So, a jewish loving globalist.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHere

>'ates collectivism
>'ates hierarchy
your interpretation of nietzsche is wrong if you think this, or you just literally haven't read him. i don't know how you get anti-hierarchy from master/slave morality, beast of prey metaphors, ubermensch etc
>'ates shame/disgust (thus would be against policies based on those emotions- read: All Of Conservative Social Policy)
this one is especially stupid, nietzsche filtered everything through his fee fees.
this is the most retarded thing i've read here in a long time. he was explicitly a pan-europeanist, and antichrist reads like a national socialist antisemitic pamphlet.

>'ates shame/disgust (thus would be against policies based on those emotions- read: All Of Conservative Social Policy)

So we're just going to ignore the entirely shame/guilt based victim economics of the modern Left or...

You say other people misunderstand Nietzsche while you seem to have misunderstood him yourself.

so wrong you can't even explain yourself, cry more leftard, nietzsche was not your guy

Attached: 1534501194334.gif (500x260, 1016K)

i already did
his opinions on antisemitism and other issues you raised are clearly outlined in GS, origins, etc.
No response to your whattabout

Nietszche hated everything and everyone. His proboem was with mankind as a mediocre species.

Nietzsche wouldn't vote at all. Voting is herd behavior

Marx

he was snobbishly anti-anti-semitic; he wasnt some kind of philosemite. i don't like jews but i find the kind of vulgar antisemitism of the alt-right for example, offensively stupid, and nietzsche probably would too even though he also had many denigrating things to say about jews.
it's really obvious you havent read the latter half of his output or you're trolling.

>he would have hated today's far right
Like anyone else with a bit of education.
/pol/tards are really grasping at straws

>dude Nietzsche was a marxist sjw just like me!

Imagine being this retarded. He would have literally supported the Nazis

Attached: leftism.png (474x711, 90K)

Joyce

Nietzsche hated politics tho
in the antichrist he even went so far as to say "don't read this book if you're not above politics"
If he went for anything, it would probably be some sort of transhumanist politics

Attached: 1541083109352.jpg (640x1024, 64K)

what are you? his sister?

His sister knew him more than you retarded leftists

Didn't Nietzsche actually live a very conventional life?
If he was so much against traditional morality, why didn't he become a super degenerate like Foucault or Russell?

What you listed would definitely make someone be called a nazi nowadays though so the other poster was right.

this, Nietzsche was a huge 'we live in a society' edgelord.

bc his stomach hurt

>yeah it is stupid to try to categorize his philosophy into today's political paradigm
I don't think he had a coherent political stance within the politics of his day.

he'd pull out a gun of his own and put it to yours

I have a second gun. I draw and point it at his gun.

*teleports behind you*

That urinal bowl guy

>Nietzsche would think of cosmopolitan globalism now

He would be absolutely disgusted by it on its surface levels but he would also be intrigued by where it takes us.

Because he was against the idea of institutionalized morality, or the idea of morality as a way to control the herd. He was not against his own morality. He had a self important righteousness, as opposed to acting proper out of expectation.

basé

nietzsche would've been your garden variety neolib

why was he so welcoming of islam?

Exactly. He wouldn’t subscribe to today’s Left and Right religions just like he didn’t subscribe to Christianity.

The übermensch rebels against any imposed morality to find his own way.

So he would definitely not be a le

You are right about nietzsche appreciating hierarchy, but wrong about Nietzsche not hating shame. He repeatedly remarks through his entire catalogue that sparing someone shame is the only true compassion, as well as freedom being unashamed of oneself in front of oneself

He said somewhere that he was trying to strike a balance between an aristocrat and an anarchist.
That is what I call leftist

Attached: 10B6B035-C8BE-4645-891A-30C7723292D6.jpg (1038x518, 99K)

He wasn't. He just wasn't afraid of talking about aspects of Arab culture he admired just like some aspects of Christian culture

Ubermensch aren't constrained by the society they live in. Moot point.

He called Socialists "Flatheads" in Beyond Good and Evil and hated democracy.

>That is what I call leftist

Attached: 1520207398458.png (600x580, 360K)

>by today's standards
Never project politics into different eras, obviously they would align with the most conservative thoughts each and every time, if we went by this line of thought then even Marx and Hegel would be far right given how racist and antisemitic they were, hell the entire Parliamentary left-wing of the French revolution can be brushed as right-wing today.
It's a meaningless projection, in a century from now perhaps intersectional feminists will be seen as far right as well.

>nietzsche
>supporting mass pleb movements

No way

Attached: hans thoma - der krieg (1907).jpg (1024x1001, 170K)

This. But note that theyd all despise the alt right for being brainlets. Every single one.

>he would have hated today's far right. Hated nationalism and antisemitism
Far right are neither of those, though.
Nationalism is left wing. Anti-semitisem is neither left nor right.

The closest we have to far right today are the US Democrats and most Western leaders in general.
They're basically promoting the dominion of rich elites over the masses, under the guise of democracy. It's the closest we are to a self-sustaining pseudo-monarchic rule, which is kinda right wing by definition.
And since the populace needs some religious moral guidance, we have pseudo-priests in the form of TV show hosts and devoted zealots in the form of SJWs and such, who make sure sinners are shamed and punished and that the status quo is maintained.

It's a complete structure of ruling by the elites and it's brilliant. Shame that the leftists (nationalist, but not only) will probably end this soon. It's kinda inevitable, every system eventually accumulates a critical mass of disenfranchised people.

Why do you feel the need to post with a trip? I don't get it

Nietzsche didn't support democracy, nationalism, or popular movements. Yes, he didn't like antisemitism... but he also abhorred socialism. He considered himself to be an aristocratic artist figure who was enlightened by his own intellectual superiority and lived in a bubble disconnected from human concerns

I hate to say it but there is actually a very well-known political ideology that perfectly coincides with Nietzsche's transnational aristocratic beliefs. There is a political ideology that stifles democracy, promotes hierarchy and individualism, allows elites to live within insular bubbles of privilege, ignores the poor, mocks socialists, celebrates psychopathy and greed and narcissism and violence, rejects reactionary tendencies, and cannot be overrun by the "herd" despite offering the herd an opportunity to pretend they have a say in things

Nietzsche was a liberal. He was a proto-eurocrat who would have been happy to give away Western civilization to whiny brown people simply because "fuck you, I got mine."

Attached: brainlet.png (817x443, 34K)

>and hated democracy.

why tho?

>mocks socialists
>EU

Because he didn't think everyone deserved a say as he thought most people were mediocre.

I could see him support a 3rd world pragmatic warlord, though.

Literally everyone before 1950

Why do you feel the need to deny your humanity, your individualism?
I am anonymous enough, but I am also responsible for my character and content.
Is that it though? You want to divorce yourself of responsibility? It makes it easier to shitpost and air your darkest side. You're here to twist your true self into some kind of Smeagol creature.
Shit meme, user.

>I am anonymous enough, but I am also responsible for my character and content.

so like every female, you crave for attention from thirsty virgins around here, truly a herd mentality

>muh individualism

no sweettie, your sex is the epitome of collectivism thinking and sheep mentality

You're not going to make it, son.

>EU
>socialist

He probably would've liked the EU because it is the closes we've gotten back to the European cosmopolitanism of the Belle Epoque, when upper and middle class people could live, work or visit pretty much any place that mattered with little in the way of paperwork.

He served in the military, but rennounced his Prussian citizenship about one year before the Franco-Prussian war and remained stateless until his death.

He considered himself Polish.

Why do you pretend to be some tranny who left this board like a decade ago? Protip: the real butterfly wouldn't say "shit meme" or "shitpost"

Now THAT is Smeagol behavior. Being so desperate for any kind of human interaction or attention, be it negative or positive, that you imitate a long dead annoying forum user known only to a small coterie of posters on an anime website

Tell me, when was the last time you touched a girl? When was the last time that somebody told you they were proud of you and what you've done with your life? Stop posting online and recognize that you've gone very far off the deep end. If you need attention you should seek it from the real world, not the internet

Better yet, go back to your tranny discord

>Tell me, when was the last time you touched a girl?

Follow your own advice, Smeagol

Wouldn't say he hated democracy in practice, but he disliked equality as a principle.

He himself was fond of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and LARPed as a Polish aristocrat: "I inherited from them my instincts, including perhaps also the liberum veto."

So he seemed sympathetic to the idea of every freedom-loving man having a say and being able to stand up to the state, he just didn't like majority rule because he didn't want individuals to have their potential constrained by the collective. irl this caused the decay of the Commonwealth because government was always gridlocked, so it isn't a very good way to run a country.

He considered himself a polish noble, not just any kind of pole. It was sarmatism, that principle of individual self-determination embodied in every polish noble that drew him in. He never cared for a polish nation or state.

"On the rulers turned I my back, when I saw what they now call ruling: to bargain and traffic for power - with the rabble!"

He wouldn't vote, but how would someone like you know that. He'd rather die than be forced to become cattle for the state.

Any halfway intelligent person would hate the far right. The far left at least has forward thinkers, but let's not kid ourselves, politics in general suck ass but if you had to align yourself with something, I'd rather be a leftist libertarian than some mental miser.

Lmao, stop playing the persecuted minority you little /pol/ fags.
It's pathetic. None of you hates traditional moral values, none of you hates conservatism, you're all just bitter incels and your sexual frustration makes you think you're some form of saint.

Jeff Mangum

i close my eyes and seize it

>forward thinkers,
Let's all be lennies and jump off the cliff! Its forward, right?

Don't you get embarrassed posting shit like this?

why would i be?

Funny because Nietzsche was a bitter incel himself.

because it outs you as an edgy 16 year old who's on Yea Forums without your parent's permission. no one with half a brain takes the far right seriously. sorry, kid
