Well, BTAS was really like 1950s Noir + Burton's Aesthetic, if he actually gave a shit about Batman.

I think the character has been too interpreted as a high tech armored military guy who rides a giant tank.
They have to bring back the detective work. The Neo-Noir tone.
Less intimidation and grit like Affleck. Casuals don't view him as the broken character Snyder wanted.
Some of Nolan's high tech gadgets to make him modern, but keep the suit slim.

And then emulate Keaton's mannerisms of an unnatural being that flies in the air. With better technology, we don't need campy and jerky movements. We can actually try to emulate how Bruce can use the image of a Bat to invoke himself as a creature of the night.

Nolan got that part in Batman Begins, but ditched it in favor of a more science and technological tone with its sequels.
Damn shame.
Begins was the most faithful Batman film to date imo.
