Does anyone actually still give a shit about movies or television unironically?

Not that I don't appreciate cinema, but I've always appreciated television far more for the potential of longform storytelling it could provide. Shame that it's only really started to deliver in the last decade.
Of course.
I attend to my local film festival every year and travel for a couple international ones.
Of course. But these days it's more about finding films and shows that awake something inside me. The desire to live, if you will. Idk. Something that makes me think that maybe life is not so shitty after all. Recently I watched Princess Kaguya and it's only one movie from the few that fit the description I made.
>Joy Division t-shirt
Of course. BvS, Sneed, Mask, the list goes on.
Not desire to live, sorry. More like, make me feel alive, as in, provoking emotions inside me. Because otherwise I might as well be dead inside. When films and shows don't fill that emotional void inside me idk what the fuck I will do. It's either suicide or writing.
>Shame that it's only really started to deliver in the last decade.
Even more of a shame it only lasted for a few years before storytelling standards dipped so low most things are unwatchable.
Kojima is such a westaboo
>/ourkeanu/
Based Kojima, truly /ourguy/
I am genuinely very interested in movies and television. I actually work in the television industry (in unscripted though lol so I'm not exactly making kino) and majored in film in college.
I like Kojima but his games are awful
Joy Division is basic hipster-core, which Kojima is. How is this out of place?
Western media had become nothing more than a proxy for woke politics
All we have left are Japanese games
These days I pretty much just rewatch old stuff I already know is good, or the occasional older movie that I've missed out on, mostly I just watch niche videos on youtube.
Haven't even seen a single episode of Stranger Things, Chernobyl, The Boys, or any recent FOTM show thinking about it.
depends on the series or movie
there is still good KINOs being made among the sea of mediocre reboots, remakes and general degenerate agitprop
Weak bait
No, the proportion of anything resembling quality is far too small for it be worth digging through an avalanche of garbage searching for them.
I still like watching stuff but it's a bittersweet experience, feels weird to let a bunch of pedos and mind manipulators entertain me.
Wearing a joy division shirt unironically in 2019
Wearing a suit jacket with a t-shirt unironically in 2019
i think you've got it backwards
>If you have the Yea Forums guide you don't need a tv.
Movies and television now suck, it's true, but globalism and interconnectivity ruined everything in general. Uncle Ted.
Not what is currently coming out
nope. even youtube in it's current state is better than the current state of the industry.
