If I heard the movie correctly, Stan killed himself because he thought it would discourage them from all going back. He figured they'd all need to band together to defeat IT and that if one of them was dead, the situation would seem pointless and they'd choose to leave Derry behind.

This. Stan does write IT on the wall, you see it at the end when Bill reads the letter. There are no CGI kids. Eddie's death is not funny. The spooks from the first movie do not return except in part when Pennywise is being bullied to death and tries to find a form they will not mock. Bev is obviously done with her husband, she leaves the ring on the doorstep when she leaves, and Bill's marriage is no obstacle because she goes with Ben. Henry does attack Mike, that's when he gets tomahawked by Richie. Eddie missed the heart through the shower curtain.

Thr burning hands and Bev's dad are things these people witnessed or people they lived under. They're not spooks like the flute lady, monster grandma, headless boy, or Pennywise himself. You'd have to count Georgie as a recurring spook for Bill, too, but you're not doing that because you know that he's at the center of Bill's trauma, just like Bev's dad and Mike's vision of his parents burning to a crisp.
I grant you the leper, but he appears in new contexts and the fear of disease in amplified for Eddie in this movie as IT becomes more subtle and impersonates the chemist and has his backroom turn into a cabinet of horrors. The leper also returns so Eddie can overcome him (seen it all before) and give the Losers the vital peace of information that Pennywise can be bullied to death.
Stan kills himself because he could never go back and thinks that if he just stayed out, then they'd all fail. He literally spells it out and it has nothing to do with him sacrificing himself to motivate them
I'm a person who watched it and was happy with the adaptation although plenty of stuff had been changed and I'd like it to be repesented correctly without you twisting what was and wasn't in there.
