I don't understand why this movie is so highly rated.
Basic plot, flat characters, harrison ford's shitty acting, unrealistic behavior, half of the scenes take place in darkness
The futuristic setting isn't explored very much
The philosophical questions are very predictable

I wanted to like this movie but there's nothing special, so why do people talk about it?

Why, did you owe this movie something?

i thought harrison ford was great

It seemed promising at first and I thought there'd be more to it so I had my hopes at

The 80's standard futuristic cyberpunk atmosphere was what stood out at the time. However, I can see why people dislike it. It hasn't aged well, and it's actually quite funny when you're supposed to be convinced this movie takes place what is actually the current year in 2019.

Beautiful visuals and and even better music. The cyberpunk setting wasn’t done to death back then and the philosophical questions still haven’t been answered.
Also BR2049 is superior as a movie

Comparing BR to BR2049 is like comparing 2001 to 2010

what do you mean? those few city shots?

>and the philosophical questions still haven’t been answered
have you read any science fiction book from the 60s?
