Will it ever be topped?

I remember being a lot more afraid of Hills have Eyes as a kid.

The remake was better but the remake of Dawn of the Dead was the best.

Halloween is the better slasher movie. Alien is the best horror movie.

Overrated. TCM2 is the best one and blows the original away. Part III is a shadow of the other two, but is still fun, while the rest are pure cringe.

ITT Retards

Bill Mosley is better than everything here.

And the "remake" of evil dead was the bestestest

This.

That film is never going to be surpassed as a pure horror, non-splatter movie.
This idiot calls it a slasher movie. It's not. You dullard.

This idiot is just an idiot.

You know my opinion is correct, stack 'o sticks.

What requisites does TCM not have that would make you say its "not a slasher"?

Wrong and fags

Remake was better. The Thing is the best horror movie of all time. Best slasher is Halloween (1978)

There’s a wide variety of Turner Classic Movies from all genres.

Says the samefag who just samegfagged for the third time.

>stack 'o sticks
okay, that was funny, ya dick.

No gore.

:D That's the spirit.

>The remake was better but the remake of Dawn of the Dead was the best.
Retard
>Halloween is the better slasher movie. Alien is the best horror movie.
Not retard.

Remake of TCM was shitty, TCM sequels are all better than the remake. Night of the Living Dead remake from 1990 is very good.

What contrarian youtuber did you zoomers watch that got you convinced about the remake being better?

fucking idiot

halloween is still the best slasher but fuck you

truly a masterpiece in the way it was shot, acted and executed. hallosoy looks like a 1st year student project compared to it.

Gay

No. Modern actors would never put up with the conditions that elevated it to something special.

>that part in the book about them filming the dinner scene for 26 hours uninterrupted
>Leatherface's actor getting so fed up with repeating the same shot thanks to a faulty squib he just cut the actress's hand for real
wew

You're a fucking faggot kill yourself cunt

The actress thought for the longest time that it was an accident but when she found out he did it purposefully she got so pissed she apparently didn't speak to Gunnar Hansen for years.

How did they achieve such visceral visuals without exaggerated gore?
The very first kill is a simple hammer on the head out of nowhere and it looks brutal as fuck.

There's a focus on details that's absent in a lot of horror movies, and I don't mean in a technical aspect. The first kill is just a hit on the head but you see the body writhing and the feet kicking around because of the seizure it caused. The amateur feel of all the kills just makes it seem more realistic. There aren't ten minute shots of someone being dismembered, the kills are quick just like they would be in a real situation. Couple that with the home video look and the droning score and it's fucking brutal.

As a horror movie? It's bound to be topped. As a TCM movie? Never. No part comes close to the original. In fact, the sequels get worse and worse over time.

Exactly. I felt like I needed a shower after watching this movie. Unsettling in it's more realistic approach and grit, like a fever dream you're actively participating in.

the original resource it's not good

Top lel. The Nerd's review of the video game is closer to the original than the remake.
Also, the actor who portrayed Leather in the remake is a drunk piece of shit who made light of Gunnar Hansen's passing.

bump

>like a fever dream you're actively participating in
Perfect way of putting it

>ywn watch TCM the year it came out in some seedy 70s theatre
