There was Sub-Saharan Africans in Rome and across the empire as a whole. They were described as having blue skin, not black. World War I is far more interesting than World War II. It's literally a definitive point in history where traditional warfare became modern warfare and consequently dragged the rest of the world with it from a technological standpoint.

I love movies and shows about Rome or any other European history setting. I'm Armenian so I would love to see a movie involving Rome's Eastern campaigns because I've seen most of the one's involving Gaul and Italy. The problem with history movies is that not everyone is as interested about them as I would be. For example, Marco Polo was a really good show to me but season 2 won't be made because the ratings were so low. Not getting a diverse cast also stops a lot of producers from making historical shows since you can't show the role of a genderfluid black single mother's role in the unification of Germany, Crusades, Roman empire, Reconquista, Medieval British isles or the declaration of independence. Basically the only movies I expect to see about history from now on will be in the setting of slavery, Hitler's rise to power and Civil rights stuff(or anything post civil rights). We'll probably see some gay shit from Asia with subtitles though.
