Why did DC lose the franchise war? Marvel just brought out the highest grossing movie ever

Well, the screenplay and the raw footage is probably saved on a bunch of people's hard drive at Warner Brothers. It didn't make it into post production. Which is such a shame. Batman v Superman is the only superhero movie to make my personal Top 10 and the only action movie to make my top 5 of the decade.

some of the movies were good, but seriously how many times do you tell origin stories? That is why MCU did better, it was one big story

Test screens said the movie was literally unwatchable.

no way, B vs S? the best? it was one of the worst. Dark Knight is one of the current best

Test screens are one of the things ruining movies now in general so I'm not surprised. There's not a chance that it could have been worse than something like Suicide Squad, which they deemed perfectly acceptable.

Marvel took 11 years to build their shit. DC thought it would be ok with just 4 years.

I would like to see a Harley Quinn movie but I bet the Hollywood steam engine would destroy that too

They wanted to jump to 1 billion without setting up anything. They even ignored snyder when he suggest MOS2 to connect the world they were building. Execs wanted their bonus, and were too scared due to BVS to use dc lore because general audiences are idiots aka Multiverse (now post endgame will do it).

Everyone associated with jumping the gun should be removed without pay or parachute due to the potential of a steam of billion dollar films, toy sales and other merchandise.

Dark Knight is a good movie on the virtue of Ledger's performance alone. And it's a great performance but the writing is weak, the visuals are weak, Bale isn't actually a very good Batman and that whole hyperrealistic approach is a pointless gimmick.
