Yeah there was a couple things that didn't make sense about that episode. Like, they frame the time travel thing to be bad because Dean never went to get Sam at college but that doesn't really make sense. The whole reason Dean went to get Sam was because he needed his help to find John. If John had disappeared in the past, wouldn't the result just be the same except they never find him? Also the fact that John was able to beat down Sam and Dean despite both having fought way more powerful creatures than John ever had.

Currently mid season 3 on Buffy also just watched the Ghost Chasers episode

I don't understand why so many were confused with this episode. The time travel thing is creating a paradox and it was in the process of correcting itself--some changes were immediate, some weren't. If they continued to let John stay in the future, eventually even Sam and Dean will be changed to their alternate counterparts Kale-Sam and Fugitive-Dean. However, as it was completely reversed, everything went back to as it was and John remembered it only as a dream. Sam, Dean and Mary got to remember it because the pearl was activated in their own timeline. John didn't because he was the one pulled out from it.

yeah that's what I don't like much about 3 I guess. Although I'm a mytharc guy, I still prefer lore and fights more than personal relationship shit (which is why I was apprehensive to start Buffy to begin with until I read that Kripke and Singer were fans) and 3 is chock-full of the relationship crap. Buffy 4 returns to a lot more MOTWs iirc. And no, I didn't webmize this. It might have been the OG Webmizer, he's a fan of both Supernatural and Buffy although I think there are a lot more other Buffy webmizers than there are SPN webmizers if that makes sense

it dips in quality before it finds it footing again around season 11. As a huge fan, I personally dropped and hated this show by season 9 because of how it declined in quality but the upswing I mentioned has more than satisfied me that overall, it redeemed the entire series for me. That said, 1-5 is still the strongest and most coherent run by far. Definitely the greatest hits/essential seasons but 11-15 may offer a good approximation.

it would appear that an user in a previous thread posited that Heaven, and not Jack, smote Mary in an effort to recruit the nephilim into saving Heaven and keeping the lights on. If that is true, this season might prove to be kino and we'll have Heaven and the Entity as the final big bads with Jack as a red herring that rejoins Sam and Dean for the third act right before the final confrontation. Either way all I want is for them to wrap up nicely since they have enough time to do so, PUMP UP THE CLASSIC ROCK TRACKS again, and be tasteful in the return of old characters (whether through resurrections, dream sequences or heaven missions).

Still working on Sabrina 2. Angels just hunted witches only to be roasted by Sabrina, Wesley (the watcher) was just killed by satan and Lilith was forced to eat Wesley’s character. The smoking man/vanir professor was a council member. They’re heading down the apocalyptic road already. Supernatural’s depiction of angels are still much better despite Sabrina’s higher budget and stylistic approach

Of course I have. Angel 4 is one of the best apocalyptic plots I’ve seen on TV. Angel 5 is a different beast but also great. It’s ending is abrupt but it works. It’s also why I don’t like Supernatural to end with “we got work to do” because it’s too similar to “let’s get to work” of Angel’s ending. I think Supernatural will take the Buffy route by passing the torch to others/the next gen like the potentials but Sam and Dean will die. And no I had no idea Sabrina will start bringing angels. I mean they had the angel of death in season 1 but this time they brought the traditional warrior-type angels

Yeah TV shows are a lot trickier because you need to invest more time to see if it’s worth it. I’ve tried a handful other shows like Van Helsing (series) or Wynonna Earp or Hemlock Grove but couldnt get past their respective pilots. AHS: Coven and AHS: Apocalypse is too camp but have some very interesting concepts littered between shit and wasted potential or catty fights, Grimm straddles boring a lot of times with forced occult themes, i cant bear myself to try TVD at all especially now with Legashit stealing Supernatural’s spinoff. Constantine (2015) was canceled and is now mixed with capeshit. I havent touched Shadowhunters nor Charmed old and new. The Order was dumb fun while it lasted and now I’m 2 episodes left with Sabrina 2. Right now Buffy, Angel and Supernatural are still the undisputed trinity and go-to shows

Wow I guess you also read tons of occult stuff. I used to read a lot more and consumed tons of books but back then it was mostly thriller, non fiction or shakespeare that I read. I finished American Gods last year and I never had the proper chance to finish Good Omens yet

never read good omes, its prachett and gayman so i'll get to it, necroscope is what is is, blood wars is fantastic, actually re-reading amercian gods now just cause the show is pissing me off and i wanted the real one, its bizarre 2 paragraphs of shadow getting dead wife a smoke in a shitty motel, while wedenesday is banging a rat-faced slag in the next room is more entertaining then the entire show, also their are many books, some are pretty good, but for films and shows its always a struggle finding something decent
