Phantasm?
Don't Look Now definitely fits the bill
As does Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn
and Hellraiser 2 and Sleepy Hollow
This and Dead Ringers
Zeitgeist
Both are awful and over-rated by art fags.
Slipstream (2007)
INLAND EMPIRE
it's also a masterpiece
I feel like I'm pretty normie as far as movie tastes go and I love both of those movies.
Mother! for me.
agree with all of these, but they're also complete trash unfortunately
Otto e Mezzo
Hard To Be A God
This really fucking bizarre Russian movie. Gave me bad dreams for weeks. It was almost unwatchable but I had to finish it like some sort of spell was cast on me.
that is unironically just how russian people act, i am not memeing here
RoboGeisha
Crank 2
Taxidermia
Faust 1994
The Gate
Better than the "novel"
Inland Empire is the most nightmarish film I have ever seen, it's my favorite kino of all time. It's 3 hours long and it keeps shifting and inverting into weird ass scenarios like multiple dreams overlapping and blending together. I found it very psychologically penetrating with its "ugly" aesthetic and eerie sound design.
Crash (1996) based on J. G. Ballard's novel
