>sold MCU rights to Disney for $115 million
>sold Indiana Jones rights to Disney for peanuts
>never figured out how to make a Trek film
is Paramount the most incompetent studio?
Sold MCU rights to Disney for $115 million
Paramount turned down Babylon 5, of course they're incompetent.
>finally manage to make a good Star Trek movie that actually feels like fucking Star Trek and the characters act like the characters they're supposed to be
>cancel the franchise
Yeah, I'm thinking they might be retarded.
Is that guy the best shitposter journalist or what? i never pay attention to journalists themselves so i don't remember any but so many motherfucking threads have been initiated with articles from him that he was basicaly forced into my memory.
Is there a real reason why it's always him or am i victim of some powerful long form chilling?
Hey Scott, here's an idea:
Star Trek 4 got cancelled due to the ongoing lawsuit + the fact that Paramount continues to ruin the franchise just like how Disney's ruining Star Wars.
Get that through your thick fucking skull next time, you cocksucking dilapidated kike.
>ongoing lawsuit
Gonna need a quick rundown or at least a leading for independant researching my man.
I'm fine with this. TOS was meant to be episodic and taking it to films that go 4 years or more between was just silly. (Lots of other issues as well, but just noting that one as there never would have been a way to fix it.)
The TOS movies that came later only worked because they were the same versions of the characters and same actors. The JJ Trek movies asked us to be equally invested in big changes to the status quo without endearing anyone to his version of the characters and new cast, so of course it never felt very impactful.
Best to let JJ Trek die (and hopefully STD) and get some original series that move the prime universe forward, if we should live long enough for them to pull their heads out of their asses.
He's just so good at clickbait that he's kind of Yea Forums's nemesis.
This post is spot on. Works better as episodic television anyway. Films are an uphill battle considering they never seemed to break through enough overseas
I see, thanks pal.
