Is it worth becoming invested in this show? I'm about halfway through season 2 and my mild interest is slowly turning into a need to continue. I understand amazon revived the series when it got canned midway through s3, what are the chances they follow through to a proper conclusion? I don't think i could handle a second BSG S4.
>Also are the books better? Books are always better. Show made some improvements to some characters, like Ashford, though. Watch it if you like sci-fi at all
Joshua Nguyen
I like almost everything about the show except this faggot. Does he ever die?
I think the expanse is the first show where some things are somewhat better than things in the book. Obviously there are some things that are worse in the show, but some characters and plots are more well developed and actually interesting in the show.
Noah Hall
Amazon will probably keep it going for quite a while but hard to say for sure. I guess it's mostly gonna depend if they get a sub boost from the show
Hunter Parker
He is the main character, killing the main character is a big no no in modern literature and TV shows
Oliver Walker
In a general sense they have followed the books so far with each season being one of the books. (Meaning the big story, not smaller details.) I think they'd be making a mistake to alter that. The books are good, even if he does re-use phrases a bit much. Book Avisarala is BASED and the creative profanity she drops is worth the read alone. I hope they bring that in when they go to Amazon and can curse.
Of course he still owes us at least one more book, so he could deliver a turkey himself and ruin it. You have to take your chances. I am along for the ride, having read all the released books and seen all the episodes.
The fact that you made it past the first few episodes and didn't bail because of things like the stupid hat means you can probably withstand a few ups and downs anyway.
Dylan Torres
did a great job with miller
Aiden Butler
>when it got canned midway through s3, what are the chances they follow through to a proper conclusion? The show wasn't canceled though. Syfy just didn't want to pay for it.
Overall, the show has been in decline since Miller's departure , but I think potentially Amazon could throw enough money in to do right by it. I don't think I've ever watched any of their original content, so it's just wishful thinking from me at this point.
All the show needs is lots of D R U M M E R R U M M E R
Well I can think of two currently existing popular shows that did it...It was just a faint hope. It's his face I don't like, I think because it looks almost similar to mine.
Grayson Jones
>I hope they bring that in when they go to Amazon and can curse. SyFy isn't broadcast TV so there is no FCC prohibition on using swear words. Maybe SyFy has their own policy against swearing but I've never heard of that being the case.
Eli Gomez
The magicians airs on syfy with edits and the netflix version says fuck.
Syfy had some kind of policy.
Noah Stewart
They still avoid it due to advertisers. Like a lot of cable networks they could technically do anything a premium channel does, but they make their money from KFC and Toyota commercials and those would evaporate pretty quickly if they were firing off "fucks" every other word.
If you haven't read the books then you really haven't experienced Avisarala in her true glory. (And yes, doing her correctly would be making it "fuck" every other word)
Liam Reyes
There is a proper conclusion already... but it's the kind of one that opens the way for a next chapter. Season 4 and beyond will have to be a whole new adventure unto themselves.
Brody Phillips
Who is this Avisarala? I'm at this very moment watching the scene where Miller is talking to Blue Julie on Eros and this name is unfamiliar to me i think.
Joseph Turner
Yeah its good!
Daniel Lee
The Indian lady on Earth. In the books she's older and grey haired. You may not have encountered her yet since the show spend the first little while following Miller and his shenanigans. In the series she had black hair and is fun but not nearly as fun as in the books due to the book version having one of the most hilarious potty moths in sci-fi. (And it's Avasarala, I was misspelling it.)
Luis Sullivan
The books are fucking excellent. They retain the grit while the show polishes everything. I dumped the show after the first season.
Juan Brooks
Oh ok I do know her and like her I just didnt know her name apparently. Also Amos is based.
Jaxon Bennett
I could watch an hour of just Amos and Avasarala (with the over the top book potty mouth.)
Camden Mitchell
Books are really good. I'm half way through book 6 right now.
>Amod walks in the bar and obliterates a dudes face >Says he rents a room in the brothel next door /ourguy/
Andrew Brooks
I'm 26 and I would unironically crush that ass into dust.
Jayden Howard
I knew that but always forget. Either way, some phrases and ways of wording things get overused some. I can deal with it because overall the books are great, and as long as they all are it's probably inevitable. If you read them, though, there will be times when you predict the phrasing coming up.
Ayden Cox
They make her into much more of a hot GILF in the show, but imagine her speaking with every other word being a curse word and somehow still being intimidating as hell. It's an interesting character to say the least, and she's tied with Amos for me as my favorite.
Josiah Hughes
Also basically plays Avasarala in the most recent nuTrek movie iirc
