By Simba simply retaking his place as king history is doomed to repeat eventually.

He probably didn't care much in a personal way but he did genuinely believe in communism and marxist theory. Obviously he wanted power for his own personal ambitious reasons but once he got power he did try to actually impliment the ideas. The thing is that the ideas were almost all based on flawed reasoning in human behavior and also why past revolutions had failed.

Also, Scar wasn't a revolutionary. he didn't try to replace the monarchy or current some unjust part of soceity an unjust form of society. He literally just murdered the current ruler and heir. That's called a coup, not a revolution.
