It's alright, I understand, but we really could have used that $12,000

>It's another people don't realize how health coverage works in the US and intentionally inflate the rates paid episode

Homer's blood is on Lisa's hands.

>it's another user pretending health care in the US isn't even more comedically expensive in real life because he's been brainwashed to be scared of socialism or whatever episode

>He thinks it costs more then the overexaggerated example the show uses
>He seriously thinks he understands the system
God you really have been brainwashed by online shit

I really wanna know what you think the episode that picture is from has to do with health coverage rates.

>Uh dad, 10% of 120 million dollars isn't $12,000...its 12 million dollars

She really should have taken the money, principles are just false survival tactics implemented into society my smarter people who want to make it easier to take advantage of their peers.

It is though. thanks to Providers and Insurance being in a steady arms race and lobbyists trying to keep it that way.

why is my country like this

Golly gee I wonder why people are forever mad about Lisa tearing up the check but not Homer refusing to give the bear to Mr. Burns.

I mean, that was also dumb.

The thing is that with Lisa the damage was already done, refusing the money wouldn't have brought those fishes back to life.

Because Lisa is a girl and me hate girls

>It's another Lisa bashing thread

Yea Forums, may I play Devil's Advocate for a moment?

Sneed

Because there's a difference between
>I'll give you this money if you do that thing
and
>thank you for doing that thing, here's this money as a gift

>code blue, code blue

Ah Devil's Advocate sucks. Lets play Hungry Hungry Hippos

I prefer the Game of Lent

Again, this is not how it works in cost or plans. No one pays this much, and you can talk to them about not being able to pay this much even if it was true
Also you don’t have to bribe people to get out of your waiting list for cancer treatment like all the universal healthcare countries

God I hate lisa fucking holier than thow preachy bitch

Nigga it costs me 80 dollars for an inhaler.

I don't have insurance, my discus cost $300

This wasn't so problematic as when she fucked up that hog in "Lisa the Vegetarian". Atleast here she refused her reward that was her. In "LtV" she forced her opinions on others by ruining other people's mealtime.

You wanna drive up to Canada?

explain

And how much would in cost in Europe when you factor in the taxes you pay for it

Cost me 7k for them to tell me I had severe heartburn. They hooked me up to an IV and did a chest xray. Probaly would have been 10k if I let them trick me into wheeling me to the room in a wheelchair like they wanted.

Free

Ive worked in Medical Insurance, shit is fucked. The billing system is intentionally made into a technical maze to frustrate both providers and customers to just giving up their claims. Even the customary and Reasonable amounts dictated for Non Participating Providers is not reasonable. Id understand why Americans would rather be taken by taxi rather than an ambulance to a hospital.

>mfw insurance for my tooth pulling covered the 800mg motrins they gave me for pain and learning they would've cost me hundreds of dollars

Yet a bottle of those shits in 200mg form by the hundred wouldn't cost me more than 35 bucks

Well yeah. They charge you by the MG

Homer turned down 3 Hawaiian islands for a stuffed bear

Homer's act was entirely selfless, he wanted to make his daughter happy. You even get an entire episode showing just how much Homer cares about her and how much she means to him. This is nowhere even remotely comparable to Lisa doing something strictly to have some nonsensical moral high ground.

Taxes aren’t free son

Europeans don’t even get teeth pulled out because it’s not covered

>Go to hospital with pneumonia
>Know I have pneumonia just need a prescription
>Wait 3 hours to be told I have pneumonia
>Get a $5 antibiotic
>Hospital bills me $6k
