That's not what a reset or a retcon means, dum dum! Things happened and fhey changed reality to a new, less insane one. The events still happened even if they did not happen any longer from a dimensional standpoint.
That's like saying Back to the Future retcons itself.
I hope one movie she gets a denial epileptic fit and for the whole movie she must accept absurd supernatural events or she will start foaming at the mouth.
This. Those movies were good, you shouldn't go back to them unless you are going to make it as or better.
Not by name but they discover that the reason everyone is insane and abusive in the world is because of an extradimensional entity has been influencing people, particularly their town. This is why so many are dressing up like monsters to commit crimes.
They better go right back to catgirls with big paws-n-claws...but their mouths were jacked up. Too human. Give 'em muzzles.
>What made Zombie Island special is it was good. They were adults and the stakes were higher. It wasn't just good for Scooby standards, it was actually good. It's funny, well-written, gorgeously animated with a great cast and wonderful characterization. The following three DTVs were also just as good, if not better. And this is after we had to survive the Scrappy era.
I think that's my biggest problem with the new movies. It's just the same handful of self-aware jokes over and over again, now with a side of member berries.

they kinda do in a lot of the more recent stuff these days as they often have the bad guys using robots or power armor or some other sort of high technology in their plots that means even if the "monster" is fake it's still something that could easily eviscerate them or crush their skulls like overripe fruit, hence why the gang doesn't just try and jump them and beat the shit out of them or something like they otherwise should default to after the fifth or so time the monster turns out to be some schmuck in a mask
