It's 2019 and they're still using that clunky ass fillintheblankshipping format. And then more recently people have started using portmanteaus like ‘dipcifica’ or ‘deckerstar’.

Okay I tried translating the first manga but I'm Chinese and not Japanese so basically the children were spreading rumors about superstitious activity in the school and Dib wanted to investigate, only to find out that a lot of the items (I also think this is an Ib reference) such as a mirror that would let you gaze into your future self, a piano that would play on its own, and a moving mannequin, were all being controlled by Zim! Who I couldn't really understand why he was doing it, I think it was to mock Dib and make him paranoid? Idfk. And then Zim's like "ok now for the last step of my masterful keikaku maybe (idk I don't know Japanese)" and then Dib's like "ahh. Hands of the dead." And Zim's like "Oh This was like totally part of my plan I always think ahead (or maybe not maybe he said the complete opposite idfk)" and then Zim's like "Oh hey Gir these pictures of you and your new friends. (idk)" And then Dib says something but my brain got tired.

He also pretty much abandoned an entire fleet of Irkens who were sending a distress signal (in the present) so those guys are probably dead too. And then it explained that, I guess, since Zim is technically part robot, he can also intrude into GIR's circuitry and thoughts. It also showed that he has a huge machine that he uses to create eldritch abominations and shit. And recap kinda is hinted that Zim and Dib are stuck in a timeloop. It also slightly goes into how Zim hates sucking up to the Tallest even though he constantly does it. The lore is all over the place though.
The entire series is a reference to random scifi shit my man.
