Cartman does fake his anxiety. Just like Cartman fakes to be trans just to have his own bathroom or lies about needing safe spaces to boost his egoism. Because Cartman is a shitty person and will do anything to please himself.
Cartman taking advantage of wokeness to feed his narcissism is far better decision than making him into some kind of Trump supporting /pol/ack. It really shows how shitty he can be and people like that do exist, like it or not.

They made an entire episode to complain about an issue that doesn't exist just to complain about the younger generation. My issues is with their weird soap boxes that don't make sense. It kills the enjoyment of watching an episode if it is no different from listening to my elderly uncle complaining. Matt and Trey have gotten old and most episodes are them complaining about issues they have no understanding of but they think they know everything about. It's no longer character driven, every character is a mouth piece.

Also people do use their mental conditions in excuse to be shitty people. Actual clinical anxiety is very rare (someone like Tweek probably does suffer from it, which is funny because he didn't have to use a box) and it's true that everyone gets those symptoms from time to time.
So the episode didn't suck because of the theme, it sucked because of the PC Babies B storyline which made the episode a mess and those babies are annoying characters too. Though I would have done the same episode about the CBD oil use which is also used too much for "anxiety". It would have fitted the Tegridy Farms plot too.
