Ian Flynn giving out the plot of Archie Mario comic

Not sure if this has been posted here already, but here's a tweet from IDW author Ian Flynn explaining what the rejected Mario comic would've been about, including the outline for its storyline and the corporate politics that got it rejected in the first place.

Your thoughts on this? Also, is there a chance that Nintendo would be more open in letting IDW or other comic companies using their IPs?

That depends, would Nintendo have a shitload of unreasonable mandates that prevent an ongoing plot from being anything more than game adaptations in any way?

But his Sonic stories are good. He's no Ken Penders.

Being better than Penders is not exactly an achievement.

Wait till you hear about the secret history of the plumber family that created the mushroom kingdom who originally came from space.
