Let’s talk about the easily forgotten part of the DCAU, Static. How it was ahead of its time, a solid premise, favorite episodes/characters, and the serious subjects it covered. Also hard fact; the only way Static is ever going to relevant these days is if he becomes Black Lightning’s sidekick
Static Thread
>Let’s talk about the easily forgotten part of the DCAU
But we just had a The Delta Project thread past week
It wasn't meant to be DCAU originally Static made jokes about Superman being Clark Kent and other stuff in the first season.
On it's own it's fine, although the crossover episodes felt a bit like they were trying to prop him up by showing how Batman, Superman, and Green Lantern think he's so cool
Worst episodes were all the other crossovers like with Romeo and Shaq.
That also means Shaq is a superhero in the DCAU. Along with the Hoop Squad and Soul Power.
Why the fuck wasn't Shaq and the Hoop Squad in JLU?
I think you mean Zeta Project
Fucking hell Staticfag, nobody gives a shit about your nigger self-insert. I don’t know who’s worse, you or the Hawkfag. Just shut the fuck yo and go jerk off to blacked or some shit.
Why so angry user?
Too bad we didn't get a Static/Teen Titans crossover. It would have been sick.
It's still weird since they literally named dropped the titans and implied he's be associated with them one day in the show.
Not only that, but the Robin we've only seen in Static Shock was Tim Drake while the TT Robin is supposedly Dick
>Delta Project
Ok user, that made me chuckle a bit!
Static shock was cool, favorite black superhero
I’m genuinely confused by the aggression in this post
I liked Ebon. He was a pretty cool villain
How would Ebon work when teamed up with Slade?
If the DCEU was smart they'd have made their Static Movie by now so that they could get all those black people who care more about seeing black superheroes than actually care about the characters. Besides I actually kinda like Static's origins.
That fusion in the last episode was dumb, though.
Ebon objectively was a shit villain
>t.Idiot
>Geoff Johns is given a chance to write Virgil
>Writes him completely out of character and turns him into a little underaged ass hole
Does Johns just hate black people? I mean look at what he did to John Stewart
>Oh fuck.
Pic related
Wow what a cunt
I didn’t say I didn’t like him you mung. Ebon, in universe, was pathetic. He has crazy powers and yet all he wants to do is rule a run down ghetto
I liked Ebon and the plastic man brother of his.
I liked hot streak, he was hilarious.
I hated Richie, he was an annoying piece of shit.
Static needed more villains.
>delta
Virgil, Jaime can fuck black holes.
Was this cartoon as beloved in the US as it was in Brazil? I remember the airing order being DBZ [switch channels] Static > JLU and every fucking one at school would watch them.
At some point they moved DBZ to an earlier slot and people in my class were straight up jumping over the wall in last period so they could get home in time for DBZ.
It's pretty reasonable.
Why go global when you can't even beat one single hero and control one neighborhood?
Ebon doesn't need Green Lantern or Superman up his ass.
If he stays in Dakota, he has access to a small army of impressionable metahumans, most of whom are already willing to do his bidding and he can live like a king
Seems like a metaphor for how the hood traps you. Also wasn't he illiterate?
He looks like such a smug piece of shit too.
>wasn't he illiterate?
That was the rubber guy
