Up until mid S3 is pretty alright. It honestly starts to fall apart (IMO) when the main story starts ramping up and home world becomes more reliant.
I also hate the Diamonds. What a shitty turn of events.
Lapis is best gem.

Of course, because sitting down and fucking crying for ten minutes solves wars. I'm sure that's why France won WWII.
but the uh
but the French did win
user are you retarded?
God, lapis really is one of those characters that are only good for porn, huh?
No, they got rescued by the British, Russians, and US. Go read a history book faggot.
pretty much
Mate.
Free France, Charles De Gaulle, French Resistance, Dunkirk.
Do you know literally anything about WWII or are you a lobotomite Yea Forumsfag?
My man.
France did not win WWII. The Allied Forces did.
France is not the Allied Forces, it is a subset.
France only exists today because its allies picked up the slack it left behind and actually used violence against the German forces to stop it.
If you are in a fight, and you get your ass beat because you think crying stops punches, then someone comes along and punches the guy assaulting you, you did not win the fight by being a pacifist. You got your ass beat and someone else won the fight instead of you.
There is a fucking reason why "violence is never the answer" stops being a moral that gets taught right at the time that people realize that concepts like "murder" and "rape" are real.
There is no maturity in crying to solve all of your problems, despite what the rest of your friends on Reddit say.
And besides that, if you think that Steven is a "mature" character, then you either need to grow the fuck up already or kill yourself since you're a failure as an adult. Steven as a character is an emotional brat who gets rewarded or pat on the back for impulsive outbursts and tantrums that actively make things worse for everyone around him. Steven doesn't get any development other than unearned magical superpowers which he only receives due to being the Gary Stu child of a diamond.
The series isn't "profound" or "mature" for sidestepping confrontation, it's lazy. The Gem Homeworld is literally a genocidal xenophobic government, and yet the only character which acts the part is Jasper, the only major villain with an actual defeated moment, and it isn't even from the central cast.
Also,

Jasper and Pearl are the only good gems
