Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Brie Larson as Samus, though mostly because my vision of a Metroid film involves a silent protagonist and would mostly depend upon how well Larson can physically/visually project.

An actual armor suit would suck for any actor due to the solid metal cinch around the waist would call for either and armor design or breaking ribs. Or moving stiffly, very stiffly.

In any case, you wouldn't ever need a truly metal suit. Costuming departments know how to fake it.

To answer the actual question OP asked, very well. Samus scales nicely to being a Avengers/Justice League level considering her accomplishments. She would fit into cosmic Marvel better than DC in my opinion, but I could easily see her getting hired for black bag jobs by the Guardians of the Universe or having Star Sapphires trying to turn her and getting busted for it.

She fits Marvel better, since they've got a more well-defined cosmic side and a general sci-fi vibe, where DC's better at all the supernatural and fantasy stuff. Ideally it'd be self-contained, but I could see the Guardians, the F4, Nova, maybe Iron Man, having cameos and such.

Marvel definitely, she would be mainly hanging with the Xandarians or anything that passes for the Galactic Federation equivalent. If Xandar is gone she would be paling around with Nova, Quasar, Beta Ray Bill, and all the space faring heroes. Probably slapping the Guardians around for getting in her way and being useless. Would meet cosmic abstracts and get power ups and get into all sorts of crazy shenanigans.

Nah, the rings have safeguards to prevent that kind of thing. She'd have to be chosen.

And specifically, Samus could go either green or yellow. She is quite tenacious and has a strong sense of justice, but she's also a straight up boogiewoman to the Space Pirates. Green is more likely, for obvious reasons. Though I suppose she could steal a yellow ring by hacking it with the Scan Visor.

Look up how they did the CGI for Iron Man. The Suit is essentially a CGI costume for RDJ

Unlike GLs rings, which require the user to know every working component of a machine they make. That requires a lot of energy.

The guardians could learn a thing or two on chozo tech, and have the rings have preset constructs for the users that dont require mass amounts of thought to manifest.
