Would DC/Marvel be better if status quo wasn't a thing?

Staus quo is a tool; one with flaws and features that don't always balance.
Personally, I don't like it. I think it undermines potential for development and leaves certain conflicts on perpetual repeat or unresolved in really unsatisfying ways. Nothing hurts quite like seeing a lesson learned being horribly undone so everything can be rest.
PART II

Status Quo ultimately isn't good or bad.
For instance look at Ultimate Universe which took advantage of the lack of a true status quo, people praised it for the ability to actually evolve past a comfort zone, however it all went to shit when the reigns were given to a hack.
But really it just shows the issues of never ending stories passed off to writers of varying but typically mediocre quality.

>JLA would be a further extension of the early 90s series with people like Bloodwynd, Maxima, Guy with whatever powers that week, etc.

unironically my favorite era
