Dab and fortnite didn't feel out of place to me. Fortnite could've been literally any online game, they went with a popular one (that they happen to have a cross promotion with). Dab was fitting for the scene.

GotG has the most awkward power level in the series since the average enemies they are fighting are way stronger than humans but we don't see them fighting human level people. Plus Mantis is a crazy powerful empath capable of disabling Thanos temporarily.
