They emphasize some things more - like the magnitude of ravens powers - but the overall feel is much less mature. Robin is for example objectively better in the 2003 iteration. Ttg is literally just a self aware comedy of 2003 tt

I do. They feel more like people than they did in the original. The original show pretended to be too deep. These guys feel like actual teenagers doing dumb shit with each other.

Yeah but they arent normal teenagers, specifically Raven and Robin

That's why I like ttg they actually act like teens.

you don't think there are a lot of teenagers who act angsty and always feel like their lives are super serious?

Robin is normal

There are, but there are a lot more teens who fuck with each other, pull pranks, tell messed up stories, and make up their own lingo than teens who are dealing with death and destruction.

Yes being raised by batman is sure fucking normal

Raven, definitely.
Robin... eh.

>rich
>cool
>let you play with his toys
>good role model
Bruce is a good dad.

Its become more and more apparent that people who advocate TTG have not even seen the 2003 series.

>They feel more like people than they did in the original. The original show pretended to be too deep. These guys feel like actual teenagers
This is a joke right?

I watched it in 2005 and still watch it every saturday morning on TV. Still don't like that version of Robin.

Cool horseshit bro

Only people who didn't actually watch the show, and just bait threads.

I actually don't hate this show. I think it was the Ren and stimpy of shows, it wasn't so bad when it first started, but it had a bad influence on everything else.

But this shows weak point was it's characters. They were extremely inconsistent, and sometimes we're total assholes just to further some random plot point. Remember when Raven dropped everything she was doing to eat some meat? Right after an episode where she refused to eat meatballs cyborg was shooting at her?

Its a common fact that TTG writers post here.

Isn't like the 2003 was consistent. Remember when Raven went crazy for Aqualad? Right after an episode where she explained to Starfire she need to control her emotions 24/7 and shit?

>Remember when Raven went crazy for Aqualad? Right after an episode where she explained to Starfire she need to control her emotions 24/7 and shit?
She didn't go crazy over him dumbass. Nevermore was about her coming to terms with her emotions and Switched was about showing she can be a regular teenage girl.

>But this show's weak point was its characters.
This is completely true and something that TTG apologists overlook. Robin and Raven fluctuate between being the voice of reason and being just as crazy as the other characters depending on the plot. As for Cyborg and Beast Boy, they were at least different from each other in the original as while they both loved to goof off, Cyborg was more mature and Beast Boy was the sole provider of comic relief on the team. In TTG they have the same personalities which is really bad for a comedy show that depends on how the characters interact with each other for a source of humor.

Its sad because in the first season it was a lot more balanced (remember when Robin used to be a cheapskate but is mostly just a no fun punching bag?)

The first two seasons were comfy 2000s cartoony cartoon tier

Raven, personality and dry-humor wise, a little yeah.
Robin, abso-fucking-lutely no.

The only one that has a slight edge over the 2003 counterpart I think is starfire because TTG showing her like the disgusting, clueless, bizarre fish-out-of-the-water alien with retarded english is a better display of her and kinda mateches TTG overall retardedness

I don't understand why they decided to take Robin's character in the direction they did. I totally understand why they turned him into a nutcase because even though I don't always find it amusing, it makes sense because it's kind of like a parody of how obsessive he was in the original. What I don't get is why they made him the punch bag. I want to believe that it's poking fun at the absurdity of having someone with no superpowers trying to shoehorn himself into a setting with superheroes but with the way that the characters just straight up shit on him, it just comes off as the writers having a weird hate boner against the character.

Since Raven is being talked about in this thread, I think she would have been better is she still kept her dry and sarcastic personality from the earlier seasons instead of being just as excitable as the rest of the cast. It's just that all of the characters feel less unique from each other now.

>Best version of Robin
IDK, I never liked the Teen Titans one because he was too much of a Batman Jr. Maybe Young Justice?
>Best version of Raven
