What went wrong?

Shipping?

Literally shipping and its autistic fandom who can’t even refer to characters outside ship names and that’s it. Was a decent, if slightly forgettable, show otherwise

I wouldn't even say that, even though it made the fandom exceptionally awful

My take would be lack of clear, strong direction. They made moves in one direction then backtracked or corporate instituted changes. They built subplots that went nowhere. Characters spent large chunks of the series with no real goals or motivations

So it meandered, hit walls, or played redundant threads

Studio Mir tricking people into thinking they make the greatest animation ever.

This. All the same problems that sank Korra, and a few new ones.

Pacing was all over the place and the writers struggled with juggling the large cast. Also, all of this

1) Netflix
2) People who actually watch the show only cared about gay headcanon horseshit than what actually happens in the show

Not enough robot.

literally everything. Those showrunners shouldn't make anything ever again.

Too many characters get introduces and almost none fuck off. Plot that goes nowhere, characters who don't develop but we are told they did or thematically contradictory things like Lance learning not to try to get in Allura's pants, resulting in him getting in her pants, that's not how you plot a character arc. Generally aimless storytelling, especially in entire Lotor saga - I never got a feeling writers actually had a consistent hidden agenda in mind, he just kept swapping.

Homosexual propaganda and rampant sexualization of teenagers

They made the finale of season 2 feel like a series finale but then the show went on for 6 more

nothing as long as you don't watch the epilogue. it was a solid 10s action series with a top quality waifu.

>especially in entire Lotor saga

Boy, that was just the oddest shit, wasn't it? It's like they had no fucking plan going in, they just felt like they had to include Lotor for the sake of having him.

>weave a tale of a man that wants to do good, but is forced to watch his father buttfuck the universe for 10,000 yearas
>has a plan to save everyone, but to pull it off he needs to sacrifice people who are dear to him
>then his girlfriend calls him an asshole and he flips over into complete batshit crazy cackling saturday morning cartoon villain mode
>dies
>melts
>nobody ever mentions him again

It was just fucking weird.

Not enough Keith

Fpbp

Couldn't even stand to be in a thread on here for more than a minute, it was people on rafts trying to talk to each other about the show while a sea of gay Shiro and Keith pics raged around them

Characters clearly had plans but through incompetence or through meddling none of them actually worked. Keith being a Galra was clearly foreshadowed but it ended up being a case of 'okay, now what?' followed by nothing immediately after this.

Shiro being dead was supposed to go somewhere, but got cut early because of meddling.

Lance clearly was supposed to develop more with Allura, but they straight up didn't interact for most of the later seasons.

Hunk and Pidge were there.

It almost felt like Lotor was thrown in just to check him off a list of DotU canon they needed to include. Same with Romelle.

>Spends the whole first few seasons having Shiro groom Keith to be the new leader
>Shiro "dies" forcing Keith to step up
>Hahhah no. Writers pet faggot comes back immediatly so fuck off Keith.

It seems to be carrying over problem from Avatar, where characters announce they developed and learned something, unlock new abilities linked to character development but actually learn and embrace fuck all. Like Pidge learned something about plants, but when did it ever become relevant?

Shiro didn't get graphically raped on screen by Galea guards and we never saw him shirtless.

Attached: IMG_20181218_023145.jpg (1200x669, 60K)

Keith wildly oscilates between being a lone wolf and team leader, never really learns to care about his team and his duty.
Lance learns to not sexually harass a girl, gets the same girl to be his girlfriend.
Pidge goes to find her family, never has to do anything hard to challenge her character over it.
Hunk simply exists.
Shiro hogs all the good suffering, but doesn't utilize it either.
Lots and lots of characters show up and amount to nothing - can you identify a single trait that separates 2 male fight pilots for example?

I'm inclined to agree.

I honestly do not give one hairy shit about who ends up fucking who-- the ending with Shiro was a nice gesture to let him be happy at any rate; he could have had a lavish wedding with the Galra prison warden who *also* had a robot arm for all I care.

What bothered me the most was that the final season was a rush job that started decent but went in too many directions with not enough time to tell a proper damn story finale and after all the other seasons worth of "No one gets left behind!" messaging, Allura up and fucking dies for no reason while fucking Haggar gets EVERYTHING she wanted after she went on a multi dimensional rampage where literally countless dimensions worth of people died. Not to mention Allura was so angry and hateful through most of the run after doing something incredibly dangerous that was literally suicidal in the long run and neither Lance nor Keith ever really got to contribute much

Fuck. That. Shit.

If I watch this show again I may just call it quits after Shay visits Hunk in the hospital after they return to earth. That was legitimately the happy ending I wanted all along.

There's going to be comics to help unfuck the ending. Wonder what they end up doing.

Comics won't unfuck anything. They made a bad show and no amount of secondary material will change that.

Meddling from execs, cool ideas that were set up but never followed through, Keith's Shiroautism was unbearable, Allura being an overpowered plot device, and Lotor's entire arc.

Even with all the flaws though, I still had fun. Sendak is best boy.

Attached: Voltron.Legendary.Defender.S08E12.1080p.WEB.x264-CRiMSON.mkv_20181214_085334.525.jpg (1920x1080, 223K)

I was just in it for the Plance.

On the plus side, knowing what I know now, I don't have to bother finishing the series.

...What exactly *did* the execs demand of the show? I don't think I've heard this one, some how....

At least Keith's Shiroautism made him unique for a cartoon protag.

Shiro was supposed to die in season two, and that's when we'd get the fagshit flashback. But execs wanted him kept on, and execs also cockblocked fagshit until the post-season seven backlash. They also stepped in a number of times when they felt the show was becoming "too dark", reminding the writers it's for six year old boys. Backstories were cut.

To be fair, Lauren and Joaquim still had terrible ideas get through. Allura was just an annoying deus ex machina more than anything. They never could figure out if Lotor was a shithead or not.

Execs made them keep Shiro and wanted to gear the show towards little kids. There was also a bunch of waffling on the gay stuff.

>Plance
Go back.

You say this every time Shiroautism is brought up in these threads, and it still doesn't make it true.

Lauren should've just gone fuck it and made it the Pidge show like she wanted to. I don't think most people would have complained.

This. Wonder if Voltron Force got reassessed now that LD has concluded.

Not unique, but it was the only entertaining thing about his boring ass.

It's fucking boring, and I ended up not caring about any of the main characters or villains.

DESU I'm not all that bothered by Shiro coming back and being the bridge commander. Also, the DnD episode.

What made me lose interest for awhile though was the waffling with Kieth quitting the team and him and Shiro playing musical chairs with the Black Lion. It felt like that took way too much time at the cost to telling more interesting stories or exploring shit we never got.

The darkness bit I can see as far more annoying, and the backstory part sounds like a total pisser.

>no homo
>no Shiro dying, no Keith or anyone else dying either but you can kill Hunk for no reason at the last seco- oh wait we don't want too many girls on the team
>also letting Allura die is OK too
>no backstories or character bonding allowed
>Voltron must be in every episode no matter what
Both sides were retarded. Lauquim were incompetent, while execs kept saying no to most of their good ideas and yes to all the bad ones.

I didn't mind Shiro coming back, but according to one of the Afterbuzz interviews, it cucked us out of a cool Sendak storyline. That basically sums up this show as a whole.

>he could have had a lavish wedding with the Galra prison warden who *also* had a robot arm for all I care.
That would've been unironically better

>Go back.

Where to? I only ever got into the show or the pairing because people kept posting art of them here.

>If I watch this show again I may just call it quits after Shay visits Hunk in the hospital after they return to earth. That was legitimately the happy ending I wanted all along.
The show ending at season 7 or even 6 would've been just fine. It somehow both ran on for way too long but also rushed because they somehow felt the need to throw brand new subplots into season 8, instead of wrapping up all the stuff they already still had left over, so we ended up with nothing BUT loose ends afterward.

Shiro marrying any Galra would have been unironically better.

The most forgettable villains in existence.

Fujos overruning the fandom.

Nobody called it Plance here.

Shiro being bridge commander was cool, but it was kind of strange that season 8 totally forgot he ever piloted Black even though he was in it way longer than Keith, and Keith only took over because Shiro was physically unable to pilot anymore. Not like they needed a whole scene or anything. Just a comment acknowledging it happened, because I don't think this is one of those cases where they wrote the last episodes first and it was too late to go back and change things when they were told they had to keep Shiro.

Somebody did, because it was the only way I knew how to keep searching for art. Tumblr was good for one thing, porn that people couldn't post here (or on /aco/ since mods are fags about Pidge's flat chest).

We're arguing about the proper source for nomenclature for a teenage cartoon robot fighting couple, by the way. That's our Tuesday night.

Fujos, not even once

Traced art and slice of life mostly, it'll be a fun ride but I don't think it'll do much else than that.
I really wonder why 8 felt like such a different show when it had the same team as 7. I mean 7 kinda did too, but you could still feel they were generally the same characters they were before. It was mostly a tone shift then 8 felt like something else with the same faces.

>we never saw him shirtless.
this desu
DW don't realize how many billions they could've raked in if they just let him be the ultimate fag icon from the start

>reminding the writers it's for six year old boys.

Attached: voltron don play.jpg (624x480, 59K)

The return to Earth was something that was being built up ever since Shiro disappeared and Lotor was name dropped. It felt like in the grand scheme of things it would be the end game situation as the story started with them leaving earth and it would have been a nice book end.

But then they pulled a "WAIT, THERE'S MORE" which kinda ruined some of the momentum because they didn't deliver a proper season 8. They had gained a shitload of new characters, and had to still iron out everything with the main cast.

Worse, the first half of the return trip was drawn out and while I legitimately liked the Game Show episode because the voice actors were having fun with that, the pacing just ended up being fucked until they warped out of a plot hole back over earth.

Honestly, having Hagar waiting for them there with all the Alteans Lotor had stolen, and spending season 7 and 8 being the combined endgame could have worked better, or alternatively having the Castle loss and the acquiring of the Atlas be placed sooner along.

>WEP
Fixed that for you. DW didn't really care but they didn't have anything against it either though they tried to milk it afterward.

To all Allura fans, you haven't experienced her until you've played the Voltron PSVR game.

I just started it and there's a scene where you're standing in the castle next to her while she's talking with the paladins on vid screens.

The 3D modeling is pretty much perfect. If you haven't experienced VR with high-quality anime modeling, it's hard to describe what it's like...but she has volume. It's not even the same if this was a Pixar 3D movie. It's honestly amazing.

I hate the modern, LOL SO WACKY, humor. Seriously fuck that cow shit. You don't have to make the show a grimderp ideon knock off, but if you want to be funny actually be funny. And it was every five seconds. You can't have any drama without needing to cut to Hunk who makes a fart joke or something.

Wish it wasn't as cheap as fart humor but that one they admitted to being exec bullshit multiple times.

The first Lance fart actually made me laugh.

Season 7 and 8 should've been switched around. Make 7 all about the journey home, they intercept the Atlas midway through which is an immigrant fleet sent out to get help in case Earth is totally destroyed but it's too weak to do anything but fly. They spend the season alternating between cleaning up what's left of the Galra and escaping Sendak's forces chasing them now that he destroyed the Alliance. They defeat Sendak at the end and finally return to Earth only to find it's post-apocalyptic. Then season 8 can be all about the liberation of Earth from Haggar's Altean army which has taken over and forced the survivors to hide in the Garrison.

Also make it so that scene of Team Voltron flying up into space to keep the final boss from exploding and taking out the Earth while Shiro and his crew look on in horror is the finale of the show. Nobody ever thought they were going to die for real when they had one whole season left. The epilogue can be the scene of them waking up in their hospital beds with their friends before getting back together to watch Shiro give his speech.

man could you imagine the look on the shippers faces if the show went full Tomino.

No beach or hot springs episode. They disrespected the medium from which the series came.

Attached: Voltron Femmes Pool.png (640x716, 867K)

Show was originally going to do that, and I think it would've made been better if they did. Even if they all died it would've been as a team of friends.

Force was tragic in that they made the story suffer in order to be super toyetic only to fuck up the designs so that no accurate toys could be made.

Doubtful. Force had some great ideas but bad direction and execution. Legendary Defender had a lot of bad ideas mixed with some good ones but made up for it with solid episode direction.

Force had a rerible voltron design I want that shit to never get touched ever.

Outside of season 8 nothing was as bad as the cadets who were on Force all show long.

It's a shame because individually, the lions look great.

Pandering.

>force is too getter robo even for getter robo

That's basically when the show when downwards. Overall, I still think the show was pretty damned good, but everything after Shiro's fake death felt like studio interference. I even think the fake Matt death was cheap, and probably studio interference.

>Idealist who wants to bring everyone together to forge a better universe
>Is a petty scheming shit who publicly extends an olive branch to a detractor then sends him to a backwater out of spite

>has the grandest ambitions for leading the Galra away from their conquering ways
>is literally made Emperor but instead of leading a peace process with the Coalition he lets the empire fall into absolute chaos while he fucks around with his portal

>wants to cooperate with other species to maximize potential
>uses colony alteans as livestock and sucks the life out of them

He was written like a schizophrenic

Not enough Pidge. Not enough long hair Pidge

Attached: 1545878879059.png (775x720, 324K)

Short scruffy hair pidge was goat, you degenerate

Yeah, it's why the bullshit in season eight and Allura saying shit like "His motives may have been wrong but his heart was in the right place" fell flat with me. He honestly came off more like a petty asshole than someone trying to do the right thing to me. He even had the Alteans he saved worshipping him like a god.

Not enough Voltron, good ideas that got rushed, a poorly planned Altean backstory, pacing that was all over the fucking place, Lotor turning in to a mustache twirling lunatic, some weird attempt at making Haggar relatable but just made her seem more crazy, a poorly planned Galra empire, and missed potential all over the place.

I suspect think this is a case of depending on the writer, like how some episodes of Voyager had Jeyneway being a full-on psycho while and others tried to portray her as conflicted depending on who was in charge of the episode.

The Galaxy garrison turned out to be complete Jobbers.

Attached: IGF Atlas.png (1152x649, 949K)

Attached: 1529609741632.jpg (1024x1280, 102K)

Too much too late
They had some fun moments so I don't hate them but they weren't worth all the time spent on them.

>Three fighters and one cruiser took out an entire Galra fleet
>Jobbers.

So was Axca supposed to be Keith's romance?

Attached: 1498342646818.jpg (865x1080, 209K)

Another thing they did wrong: They tried to build romance without lewdness, and that's how the fujoshis flood in. They're used to injecting their faggot shit where it doesn't exist. With so little straight lewdness and their low standards, there was only one option.

>Corporate Meddling
>Stretching five seasons at most of material over eight seasons
>The fucking fanbase
>Introducing interesting ideas and then backtracking(This one also plagued Korra)
>Reintroducing Earth stuff way too late.
>Instead of Vehicle Voltron we get "Totally not SDF1"

No idea. The only evidence I've ever seen was accounts from Klance shippers at a con. They also said Veronica was going to be Keith's love interest. Would've been funny for Lance's reaction, although since it would've happened in the "no fun allowed" season, maybe not. If there was ever a point where it was in the cards it was cut before it made it to the writing stage.
What we do know is they planned a longer redemption arc for her that was cut out, and that she was kept around because they originally wanted her to replace Hunk after killing him off.

You forgot "No Pidge's disguise falling apart with the onset of puberty."

Attached: Pidge 10.jpg (734x950, 379K)

Pidge is not for lewd.

>Instead of Vehicle Voltron we get "Totally not SDF1"
But Macross is the better show. I wish this show took more from that actually, that part was based.

>Macross
You mean Robotech?

Attached: robotech.jpg (1392x900, 359K)

Attached: 1532066224640.jpg (1280x1709, 514K)

Pidge is for casual lewd born from her picking up boyish mannerisms.

Attached: Pidge Strap.jpg (600x800, 120K)

Pidge is best girl after Shiro, she is not for your degeneracy. She should've gotten the romance storyline and the screentime that went to Allura because at least she's fun, and maybe then the time spent on her finding her family could've actually gone somewhere.

Attached: D1lVEDQWwAA78D4.jpg (750x741, 78K)

Pidge is a nerd. Nerds are perverts. This, Pidge is also a pervert.

You just don't want to admit that it'd be so fucking hot to grab her moist, sweaty palm and hold it tight while giving her a peck on the lips.

I wish Leifsdottir was in this show more.

SDF Atlas was pretty good. It’s too bad the whole concept was almost immediately invalidated by the Altean robots showing up and being far superior to anything team Voltron had besides plot armor.

They spent all of the budget on Season 7's fights and had none left to make the ones in 8 cool. This is their real mistake. If you can't write something that's good and makes sense, at least make it fun to watch.

Leif looking surprisingly /fa/

People always forget that the same people encouraging overt homosexuality are the ones calling heterosexuality criminal and perverted.

Pidge is a dirty lewd girl who stared at every guy's package in the shower at the garrison (her wearing briefs and delighting in the exhibition) and fantasizes about using peanut butter as lube.

I'll never knock this show for its costume design, I can say that much.

I wanted it to be grown out by the end...

Attached: 1534570444618.jpg (750x874, 66K)

She's cute no matter what hair she has.

I like the cut/copy/paste theory. It makes a lot of sense to me in retrospect for why after season 2 the character interactions seem to get a lot more stiff and sometimes not very logical

>the cut/copy/paste theory
Please explain

I completely forget the title of the video name so there's little chance I can sift through and find it in a timely fashion. But basically, since the writers were mandated to bring back Shiro alive when they had already done a lot of the planning/writing work, they had to come up with something relatively quickly. So they compromised by lifting Keith (where without Shiro he would've stayed as black lion leader) from his position and pasted in Shiro on top of where Keith should've been, and patching it up just enough to justify it, which might be why Keith seems to suddenly up and leave for blade of marmora training somewhere in the middle of the show.

It was roughly explained like that, and the cut/copy/paste also continues to happen in a couple other instances because it got all jumbled up starting from Shiro/clone Shiro coming back alive as a pilot.

That certain characters were pasted over others and that's why their dialogue doesn't make sense. It assumes way too much about the production process and was proven to be outright wrong in many places including the fact that Allura's death was not a last minute change forced on them but an idea that Lauren had been pushing for since the beginning because she legit thought it was a stroke of genius.

There likely was some very vague retention of the broad beats meant for Keith onto Shiro in seasons 3-5 to maintain the overall storyline they wanted, but anything more precise than that sounds like a bunch of conspiratorial nonsense. Any of these kinds of theories about season 7-8 can be safely thrown out the window.

In all seriousness, the list of problems would take longer than I can bother with. My faves are:

>1. Writers who favor different ships and characters conflicting with each other.

>2. Constantly reworking of the script and switching characters around at random.

>3. Not knowing what to do with Shiro except sideline him.

>4. Sacrificing people for no reason but drama.

>5. Keeping the team scattered and losing opportunities for character growth.

A perfect storm of wasted potential, staff who are lost on where to go, and executives with the worst ideas ever.

If anything, Keith wanted to bang his Mom.

Ironic that a character like Shiro who they never had a real long-term plan for ended up coming off as a more well-rounded character than Allura, the character the showrunners actually gave favoritism to.

That just sounds... counter-productive and unsanitary. Then again, she's probably chock full of inaccurate perceptions of sex and would need a thorough education.

Shiro was definitely the superior princess.

Colleen strikes me as somebody who would be very thorough and matter of fact when explaining the birds and the bees to her kids. The trauma of such a conversation is probably what turned them both into robot fuckers.

Animators definitely seemed like they were having more fun with him in scenes than Allura. Asian favoritism maybe?

These ...
and these ...

Blame the execs not the writers.
Lauren doesn't even seem to like Shiro all that much. She's always fawning over Allura, Pidge and Keith instead. Joaquim does but also has no idea what to actually do with him storywise beyond giving him cool scenes.

>What went wrong?
L. Montgomery & J. DoSantos. Anyone who had something to do with Korra is garbage, and they'll ruin every nice thing they touch.

Agreed

When is there going to be another good, serialized, and multiple season western animated tv show? Is the buck just going to stop with Avatar for the rest of time?

Dragon Prince might turn out good but aside from that no

Where did she get hair for those pigtails?

Shirotron: Legendary Shirofender

Shiro was the only good character in this show.

Hard for the other character to be good when they never get any focus. The team dynamic was the most interesting when Shiro was missing, but then he came back and ruined it

He ruined the show but he also made it better. What a paradox.

As someone said earlier, he hogged all the good suffering

>80% of episodes are fucking fillers
Duh.

Lance already suffered so much he became a farmer. How far could they really go with him?

This was the real mistake. It's not a good sign if all your best episodes are filler.

This. As much as I hate shows that give too much focus on their main character, I feel this show could have benefited giving viewers someone to follow.

>Pidge goes to find her family, never has to do anything hard to challenge her character over it

I wish Matt had actually died and she needed to find a new reason to continue her journey as a paladin. Being the green paladin and connected to nature, for instance, would have taught her about how even after disasters, nature always finds a way to recover and blossom once again and this would have lead her to move on and find new meaning.

Keith has the same problem as Allura in that he got lots of focus but it's always the same shit and none of it ever made him interesting.

There was nothing wrong with the show unless you're a butthurt shipper

>no homo
Wow. Usually execs make things worse. Glad they cancelled the fag parade.

We had three episodes of that. One of the was 20 minutes of the most boring and generic training arc ever. The other two spent more time on sad Allura, sad Lance, and exposition while Pidge and Hunk were in their own little bubble and Keith occasionally turned into Shiro 2.0. Hardly a new team dynamic worth speaking of. This is where the cracks started showing, when we see a glimpse of the EPs' original plan and how what they were constantly fighting with the suits over often wasn't so great to begin with. Instead of dragging the show along kicking and screaming so they could get the team composition they wanted or the dramatic plot that wasn't so dramatic after all they should've just stuck to making the show more slice of life.

I think that was what that one episode with the dead aliens in the last season was supposed to be about. Too bad it came so late and was also just boring to boot.

Hey what was that Leakira thing?

>Series went and pulled a Samurai Jack with the main couple.

His intense brotherly feelings for Shiro were interesting.

Shiro was one of the better written gay characters I’ve seen in fiction, because they made him an actual character with his homosexuality just another facet of an interesting character, instead of it defining him like a lot of token lgbt characters tend to be.

Why are cartoons so autistic when it comes to romance?

Good writers know to write what they know, and do you think cartoon writers know romance?

Tangled is good but some shit happened in it recently and people haven't been the least bit shy about spoilers

Yeah because Keith's only any good when he's being pulled up by other, better characters.

shiro makes my pp hard

making a masc character gay is very brave

They said upfront that trying to get gay on a dude + main character is hard mode compared to girls or minor characters and it only got the go ahead after She-Ra was announced.

Attached: D0_HVqGU0AAj3ym.jpg (1200x750, 71K)

Netflix's Castlevania did a good job with Sypha and Trevor, but I suspect that had to do more with staying true to source material since that pairing is 30 years old since the obnoxious Tumblr fanbase tried to latch on to that show too and force their fujo or bisexual pairings because a regular straight white couple is apparently poison to them.

Aside from that, yeah cartoons in general botch any sort of romances to hilarious extents. ATLA, Samurai Jack, Korra, Adventure Time, Star, etc.

Why does Pidge keep being Pidge after everyone knows she's Katie? Nothing is even done with this either. It's not remarked upon at all. You'd think someone deciding to keep dressing and acting like their dead older brother under an assumed name would matter. But it never does.

My problems with Voltron is that the show never seems to have a grasp on scale or scope. They just say words that make things sound big or old or far away but never really convey that meaning. 10,000 years in the context of the show might as well be 60 years ago. The universe might as well be a galaxy or even a single solar system. Thousands of deaths are no more important than 10 deaths. Not to mention nobody on the Voltron team has any qualms about killing thousands of people. And it's not even portrayed as a "war is hell" situation so much as "well if we don't kill all these Galra the show won't have any action this episode."

Klancefags embarrassing attempt to make their own super woke version of Voltron that was centered on their ship. It was both unintentionally racist and hilarious.

The show actually explained that first one. Pidge was a nickname her brother gave her as a kid.

But why does she keep cutting her hair and wearing fake glasses and wearing her brother's clothes? It's like she had some issues going on that needed sorting out.

tumblr banned porn and that was 80% of their audience

She wears the glasses to remind herself of her bro and those are her own clothes. She's still proud of being a girl without being girly about it.

I'll take it. It still bothers me though because the execution feels terrible. But it's a better explanation than nothing.

She's a tomboy who doesn't prioritize fashion.

Girl Pidge is great but the idea that it should be seen as bold and progressive sounds like something that came out of someone mentally trapped in the 90s.

How so?

I figured she just decided short hair was convenient considering how often they spend days flying around in the lions without a shower.

Stuff like making the Galra Muslims and the thief a Gypsy.

The writers let the fandom write the show.

Dumb that she still keeps the glasses when she gets older

>Fans try to diversify the cast
>Make a thief character a gypsy
Did nobody think that through?

Of course not

Emphasizing Allura's blackness while also making her really monstrous looking, fetishizing the Latino/Asian aspects of Lance/Keith, randomly making aliens into gypsies and Muslims. Just really bizarre, ignorant stuff. They also gave Shiro a dog's name which resulted in some mocking fanart from sheithfags.

Attached: 1534406086372.jpg (1200x865, 175K)

Is that a nipple?

I think it's easier to assume that she needs glasses, and either wore contacts before or got around along with them. Maybe he eyesight declined over time, taking after her brother.

Matt got surgery for his eyes before going to space, so why not Pidge? Or her dad for that matter, how come they only fixed Matt but not everyone else?

After loving her in every previous season, Honerva became a REALLY shitty villain.

Asides from that, sure there's other stuff that I could nitpick, but that's the one thing that really left me feeling sour on the series that I'd enjoyed up until then.

Never enough Garrison Trio shenanigans.
