It was meant to show Rapunzel's freedom loving nature as a nudist hippie girl which contrasts with the more serious cast.

The crew is apparently VERY aware that the entire fanbase of this show is adults on Tumblr and Yea Forums. Might be them throwing the weirdos a bone for keeping the faith. Pretty based.

I like that. Honestly wish they had aimed for a more adult public with a more complex plot and adult themes. Kind of like Young Justice or Batman TAS did on its time.

I think having to dumb down the plot for the kiddos is this series main limitation.

My bet is that the theory of Cassandra being Gothel's daughter is true and she found out after whatever she saw when she entered the door during the rapunzeltopia episode, it was probably a window to the past or something like that.

It is scary that Cass is missing in the journal of Rapunzel's dream.
