Why DC wants to sell the idea that Batman is deep down a bad guy so goddamn much? It's not even an Elseworlds type of thing, like they often do with Superman. The Detective Comics big landmark issue pretty much told its readers that BAT MAN BAD.

>It's another "Why does this problem that doesn't exist happening?!" thread.

>The Detective Comics big landmark issue pretty much told its readers that BAT MAN BAD.
The supervillain said that.

They keep saying it over and over again. It happened in James Tynnion's Detective Comics run, in Tom King's Batman run, now in Peter Tomasi's Detective Comics run. Not to mention in other books like Harley Quinn.

Bat to the bone

Don't forget Sean Murphy's White Knight.

The real problem with Batman can be summed up in one word: overexposure.

You know someone's who's a bad guy deep down inside being a good guy through sheer force of will and stubbornness is pretty compelling.

>They keep saying it over and over again
Wellblet's look at the actual nuances here.
>Tom King's Batman
No one is saying that in this run.
>Tomasi's detective comics
The supervillain is saying that.
>Harley quinn
It's her book told from her perspective but also no one is saying Batman is a bad person.
>Tynion's run
The villains said that.

But it's also not actually happening in regards to Batman.
