Why didn't they stick with this Thanos design for Endgame? it's less juvenile and more intelect driven instead of the simpleton hulky power fantasy embarassment they decided to go with.
Why didn't they stick with this Thanos design for Endgame...

Because they needed him to do action scenes. It could also probably just come down to how much Josh Brolin could do in it.
2011 was a different time
it was 8 yeras ago
In that movie he is only partially shown. We only see his hand and his face.
no one would believe that shrimp could go toe to toe with Hulk
To make big, imposing and almost impossible to beat.
You know, like in the comics.
He's a big guy in the comics as well.
Hulk sized actually.
You might say he's a power fantasy because he has so many strengths, but Thanos is physically imposing partially BECAUSE he's intelligent. He used his knowledge of science to biologically and cybernetically enhance his own strength, durability, and powers. This isn't explicitly stated in the movie, but given his work on Gamora and Nebula, it's highly likely this is still the case in the MCU. If you're going to have Thanos be a truly intelligent character, it stands to reason that he's still going to shore up any possible weakness, and give himself every possible advantage.
>it's less juvenile and more intelect driven instead of the simpleton hulky power fantasy embarassment they decided to go with.
I disagree
Good lord that is awful.

Are you retarded? It's literally the other way around.
Joss Whedon looks like a Gerber baby with a beard.
Thanos is meant to be a big dude, not a scrawny little shit alien. Can you imagine this version of Thanos showing up to confront Thor and Hulk? They'd fucking laugh at him.
contrarian alert
A slight breeze could beat that Thanos! He's a twig!
What's Whedon doing? Does he have mind powers?
Skinny Thanos is lame, but does have the superior shade of purple.
>virgin vs chad
Comic accuracy
That looks like shit
looks gay
For you.
Comics are for kids and manchildren. We are now talking about cinema.
U U U U
>big yaoi hands and bobblehead
Yeah no
Anyitme someone mentions the word intellectual or any varient of it when it involves capeshit complaining and shit
Trying to kill a thread this blatantly
Yet here you are.
Yea Forums is too intimidating for me, i hope one day be cultured enough to walk amongst them.
what did he mean by this
Imagine being this much a loser to have this opinion
>intelect driven
er
I think in this case giving him a bigger more imposing look was for the best, though he should have worn the armor in Infinity War. it seems like they're doing it backwards, no armor for Infinity War but he has armor in Endgame; just doesn't seem right
Makes sense to me, they wanted him in armor for the final showdown
I think it would have been better if he wore the armor for the "war" before he strips it and leaves it on the scarecrow, and in Endgame he's wearing a lot less because to him he's already won and is well beyond needing something like armor thanks to the stones. Goes from a warrior in a suit of armor during the Infinity War to more sagely in Endgame or something.

Because you were never supposed to get a good look at that costume. In the movie you only see his hand, his shoulder, and his face.
He had the power and space stone. He didn't need the armor.
Bruv, 1990 and 1998 are like night and day. 8 years can be a hardcore difference
The cultural homogenization of the internet makes decade driven generational shifts a thing of the past.
yes, marvel are fucking based in 2011
