It was honestly great, great contrast of black + yellow bolt and hair with a red sash complimenting her long hair as a stand-in for a generic cape. Now she has a suit that's either taticool or just an odd fullbody latex one depending on the artist, her hair ranges from toothbrush to medium length which, combined with an at times much shorter sash (which blends in with the suit's colors too much regardless of it's length), detracts from the flowing imagery that makes her flying art look far less interesting than before. Her blue/red color scheme is of course quite possibly the most dull and generic combination for any hero that doesn't have a storied history behind it like Superman or Spider-man do, leaving her feeling more like a one-off generic design meant to last for only a few stories instead of a fully realized character.

I still find her old suit the best, it was a great homage to her predecessor and she was the only Marvel hero who wore a scarf as part of her attire, making her easily identifiable. Its a shame that even in her first outing she wasn't all that good, not bad like she is now, but not good...

I always thought the exposed stomach and completely covered shoulders looked a bit goofy and... Christ, it took me this god damned long to realize the design connection to Kamala's scarf. I feel so stupid right now.

All that costume did was tick the boxes for "female superhero" and then threw in a lightning bolt logo as an homage to THE WRONG CAPTAIN MARVEL.
In fact, her new suit's design elements are just a remix of Mar-vell's costume and I doubt anyone here is going to start calling that a shit design.

Works better cause she keeps her red sash. This is really a dumb argument anyway. Superman doesn't own this color scheme. Old school Thor knocked off Superman more than this costumer did. In any case that just proves its a good look.
