Haven't things gone pretty well with it in 'Nam? Doesn't surprise me they don't want it back. Maybe they should run a scooter race like they used to have at Macau in Hanoi in place of the Grand Prix.
They show things relevant to the team/person they're following that episode instead of doing everything chronologically. It's only Haas focused for the first two anyway

Been listening to the hella mega tour playlist and a My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eats World, and Midnight Youth playlist lately lads.
Some fun sounding gigs coming up this year. Should probably listen to some of the music that might be at the world tour at the F1 too

How frequently do they revise the travel bans? Here its every 48 hours Does it say anything about imports? Can ferrari customers still get engines?
Jaxson Wright
You have to think about the logistics though, they need a firm yes or no. Even if a ban gets cancelled they can’t just pop in there in a day and be ready. The engines might be there but the SF engineers won’t be.
Zachary Martinez
There is a ban into Bahrain for anyone who has been in Italy in the past 14 days.
We are only 17 days away from Friday Bahrain so any Italian based staff will have to leave for Australia now so they will be fine for Bahrain (assuming they don't go back to the factory).

I mean they could do it but should they? Or would they? They’ll be sitting on their asses for days in Australia and Bahrain. Also, it’ll be more than week they’ll be wasting doing nothing in Australia just to clear the quarantine time for Bahrain. Those are pretty precious days.
Also, make that 15 days from now, and that’s being generous, as people have to be there way before the weekend starts.
All of this are considering shit doesn’t get worse in Australia too, reports of confirmed cases are a daily occurrence in Australia now.

Even without Corona it would have been MWL so really not that big of a deal
Why am I the only person finding DtS boring? There's literally nothing new or interesting if you watched the season. All that staged interviews/dialogues feel cringe as fuck.
Anthony Clark
because, funnily enough, ferrari were the only team with ferrari engine to use this "ingenious way to inject power into the engine". it totally wasn't blatant cheating for which they should have been thrown out from the championship, no no no. it was great idea which they forgot to share with their customer teams, using totally the same power units as regulations require :)
Kayden Howard
No, they had parts seized as well including one from a non-Ferrari team during the initial investigations.
>Mercedes does something shady like wheel rims and DAS >get to keep their innovation >not found guilty of anything GLORIOUS MERCEDES INNOVATION! >Ferrari does something shady >get to keep their innovation (for 2019 at least) >not found guilty of anything FUCKING FERRARI INTERNATIONAL ASSISTANCE!

btw its funny how you ignored part about mercedes. c'mon, tell us, why do you think merc aren't targeted by fia, ferrari, red bull or renault? surely at least at red bull they have balls to question legality of silver car, right? maybe it's because there's nothing to question and all you can do is cry about it like a lil bitch?

Facebook comments? It's true tho. Do you have any idea about how much pollution producing and disposing of Lithium batteries creates? And this is without even considering the energy source. A lot of countries still have coal and gas as their main electricity source.
You're not accounting for efficiency or the actual environmental impacts involved. Lithium mining is mostly done in deserts and salt flats where there's almost no native flora or fauna to interfere with, and the batteries themselves can be recycled to some extent if handled properly. Meanwhile, the carbon emission per kilowatt-hour of usable energy (kinetic energy of the vehicle, not chemical/electrical energy stored in the battery/fuel) when applied to an electric car is much much less than that emitted by a fuel burning car, ethanol or petroleum. Further, solving the mass electrification problem is a lot simpler than solving what would ultimately be a huge food crop shortage if you were to convert enough corn and based onions and whatever else into fuel instead of food.
Tl;dr carbon emissions and environmental damage are different things. One is largely local while the other is an existential crisis on a global scale.
>had a dip in form late last night where nearly lost him >pushed through to improve this morning >last dangerous part of procedure went alright today >blood toxins were 3 times the fatal level & he still made it >vital organs seem to be doing well >with some more in depth tests he may be back tomorrow
I'm not saying that we should start using ethanol in every vehicle on the planet, just that F1 should start using it. It would be good pr for them, and they already said that they want to go carbon neutral in a few years.
Besides, crop shortage wouldn't be a thing, you can use basically anything to make ethanol. In Brazil we use sugarcanes, in the US corn, and iirc there's a country that uses beetroots.
Also, you don't just throw Lithium inside a car and it becomes an EV, what generates pollution is the processing of it, not the mining.
I could go on if you want to have this discussion. There's a lot of things to consider when comparing ethanol and EVs.
Dylan Kelly

Based and Cumminspilled >On "strict exercise regime" >Takes scooter for track walk Very cute though
You clearly have no idea about how big Brazil is. The northern region alone is bigger than western Europe.
What's grown in former rainforest-land is onions, which is used to feed cattle or Chinese people. Sugarcane plantations are thousands of kilometers away. And like I said, you can use pretty much anything to make ethanol.
Kevin Foster

>ywn purposely walk fast on the track walk so Carrie has to trot to keep up
Mum is the same height as Carrie and I do this to her when we go to the Globe. I'm a meanie.
Mason Hall
Yeah Ethanol in motorsport is already used in some cases. It's not a bad idea to expand it at all. I mean ultimately it's a pretty moot point to throw out blanket comparisons and write off solutions entirely when in reality there's a best solution for everything and it's likely to be different across most applications. Lithium is nasty, sure, but ultimately most research I've seen backs up the assertion that battery-powered cars are much cleaner across their lifespan than fuel-burning cars. Now is it a long-term solution? Absolutely not. Lithium will get more expensive eventually and we'll either get solid state batteries figured out or hydrogen cars will become more popular. Further it's impossible to solve transit issues in general by focusing on cars, electric, driverless, or whatever. You need more public transit to deal with the increasingly densely urbanized environments people are living in, and ultimately getting people onto buses and trains makes a hell of a lot bigger an improvement to carbon emissions than anything you can do with cars alone.
I agree. What we need to sort out is how to improve mass transit.
But I feel like transitioning to Ethanol would be better in the short term, even if slightly worse environment-wise. Ethanol-based engines are simply cheaper, and can use the current infrastructure used by gasoline.
In Brazil, you can get an Ethanol powered car for 35-40k BRL, new. Meanwhile, the cheapest EV is over 200k, and a Tesla is near 400k. I'm guessing that in other countries it must be similar.
Kevin Carter
Stateside a Tesla Model 3 costs about $35000 starting, a comparable Camry or Accord starts around $27000, so the different isn't nearly as stark as it is for you. The other thing is EVs don't really need an infrastructure for regular commuting. Home charging can keep an EV in the range where it can easily be daily driven with no range anxiety. For sure long haul trucks and buses that run all day probably can't be fully electrified yet without better infrastructure (although pantograph-equipped electric buses have existed for ages), but regular cars can be and it's a good short-medium term step to clean up cities' air quality, if for no other reason.
Didn't knew that the price difference was so low in the US, guess this makes the EVs better in this case.
But I have more arguments(so nice to have a good discussion sometimes).
EV technology is receiving huge investments from China, likewise countries that produce Lithium. This can be a problem for the power balance between the west and China.
On the other hand, you can make ethanol anywhere, using several kinds of plants, so it's not as source-dependent. Similar as to how oil was important in the 20th century, lithium will be in the 21st, ethanol could be a backup plan in case the lithium producers fall in the hands of China.
Another thing, maintenance. A ethanol powered engine is pretty much the same as a gasoline one, so you don't need to retrain millions of mechanics worldwide to fix EVs.
There's 2nd and 3rd order effects for every transition. It's just a question of how important it is to make that change at the surface level. And ultimately climate change is a big enough issue that we need to tackle it. I was watching a talk the other day about nuclear weapons and climate change, where the speaker was saying we need more nuclear energy not just because it's so effective at producing carbon-free energy, but also because we'll run out of nuclear weapons if we don't, and that plays directly into Russia's hands.
Re: maintenance it's a pretty moot point since electric motors are so simple and reliable, and every other part of an ev is mostly the same as an ice car.
Jack Edwards

I was just using it as an example, my point is road relevancy is a meme, and yet you still see people using it to justify retarded choices. Worse, engine regulations effectively prevent any innovation such as that camless engine and teams are stuck with the current V6T, not even daring to drop the MGU-H because of sunk costs.
