Reminder that Barça spent a combined €345m buying Dembele, Coutinho & Griezmann trying to replace Neymar.

They have now played a total of 186 games, the same as Neymar.

Combined they have scored 54 goals with 35 assists.

Neymar alone scored 105 goals with 59 assists.

Grizzy is cute

The signings have been fucking atrocious. Anyways, comparing Coutinho's numbers to Neymar, who played as a replacement to Iniesta isn't fair.
And I guess Dembele has played a lot of games just for the last 10 minutes.
But yes, they are JUST. And De Jong is shit. I'd bring Coutinho back at this point.

Coutinho isn't good

they should buy a midfielder who passes forwards

Barca is actually gonna be so immensely fucked when Messi retires, do the barca niggas not see this? Their last good signing was Suarez, they haven't spent well on any other player. Wtf are they gonna do for the future

Bruh, the Barcelona board wanted to replace Messi with Neymar. Here's part of a copypasta about it.

>Then came Neymar. Great player, but Sandro Rosell and Bartomeu did not only sign him for that. They saw his rising global brand. In the court cases, it was revealed that Neymar's father was gifted, apart from the huge money, with an orgy that the club paid for. Soon enough, the club puppet newspapers and even the club in some capacity released polls asking if it would be right to sell MESSI. 8% voted yes. It was coming, make Neymar the focal point of the team and let go of Messi. Why? Messi is not a Nike athlete, and Sandro is a former executive of Nike. Him, Nike, Brasil FA and Qatar are all different pillars in this big scam for which he is in jail now. Neymar, however is a Nike athlete. Major money.

>It did not turn out like that. Neymar for all his talent, has not been able to have a season close to any of Leo's, and that selling off idea has died off like defenders die against Leo.

>After that, came the dismanting of La Masia. Pep Segura got the job for managing La Masia. Despite what Barto loyalists tell you, Pep Segura is a self proclaimed English football lover, he loves the route 1 (cross and pray) way. According to numerous reports from Catalunya for a while, Pep Segura has intervened and asked the Masia coaches to practise more on crosses and less on positional play. He has recently been promoted to a far bigger position than just Masia.

>There are way too many issues to talk about, impossible in a single post. To summarise, the club, first team, masia, business wise, it's all going a massive change since the 2010 elections and even more since the 2015 elections and that change is targeted to bury everything Johan built and then build their own on that.

>That, however, is not working out well, for the obvious reason. These are mere corrupted businessmen. Johan was Johan.

How have the signings been so bad? On paper, Coutinho, Griezman and Dembele are good players

Jump into the Barca team and they basically look completely ineffective and half the time you'd rather see them just get subbed off because they seem to screw up simple shit. Is it just hard to make it at Barca? Or is there something else? Can't pinpoint it at the manager, Setien's different to Valverde but we're still seeing poor performances

Sancho - Greenwood - Messi

This fixes Barcelona

>How have the signings been so bad? On paper, Coutinho, Griezman and Dembele are good players
Messi. Messi doesn't work well with people that don't dominate him.

>tf
>tp

Vidal and Paulinho have unironically been some of Barca's best signings lately and they have a strong workrate

What about Halaand?

He's been exposed

Neither is De Shit

>Bruh, the Barcelona board wanted to replace Messi with Neymar. Here's part of a copypasta about it

I honestly believe they should have sold Messi after the 2015 CL final win and built the team around Neymar (whos an all around much better player)
They could have sold Messi for literally a Billion Euro’s to a team like Man City or PSG and ushered in a new superstar era for Barca
Instead they stuck with an ageing superstar who doesn’t work hard and peaked way back in 2011, and all of Barca’s marquee signings since Neymar left have to be played out of position to make room for a man who spends 88 minutes of every match walking.

You would have to convince him to leave, or lose him on a free

Where's Braithwaite?

Coutinho was Barca getting karma'd for tapping him up in the first place, Dembele MIGHT turn out good if he stops rushing himself back from injury, jesus fucking christ just shut him down for a year already, and Griezmann was never going to be a good fit at Barca, and he sure as shit was never going to gel with Messi and Suarez like Neymar did.

BUT LA LIGA BRO, LA LIGA!!!

Neymar got tired of watching Madrid wins CL so he wanted to join them. Also was annoyed with Messi commitment after 2016 copa america loss.

Based unicode wizard

Braithwaite, Messi, Suarez when he’s not an injured bitch
Presenting the front three that will go unbeaten

>Have no true forwards
What the fuck are they thinking?

>I.. it's the signings

No it's not. It's not a coincidence that coutinho was excellent for Liverpool and looks good enough for Bayern, or that greaseman is a world cup winner that dominated at atletico. Or that dembele looked like a potential monster at Dortmund. Hell even Andre gomes has looked like a decent CM since coming over here.

Messi is the problem, it's been getting worse for years. You can't build your team around one player who doesn't move and expect to win anything, football right now is about speed and pressing and Barca have none of that. He slows everything down, just like ronaldinho did when he was past his peak.

Everything must go through him. He's has to be the best midfielder, most creative player, best finisher, that isn't healthy. They're still relying on old shit like pique/Alba/busquets. This trash should have been booted out at least 2 years ago under a competent board/manager, but Barca live to please Messi and his closest friends so they hire literally who managers who won't make sweeping changes.

If they can learn one thing from Madrid it's when to boot out the trash before they just get complacent and on the wrong side of 30.

This. Messi has been on a steady decline for years now, but he still seemingly dictates signings and playstyle. The focus on him first fucked his NT and now Barca.

my boy Messi just needs more ballons d'or

Have you seen any Barcelona game without Messi this season? They were awful.

like when they beat inter 2-1?

>beat Inter 2-1 away from home
>beat Madrid 5-1
Shur the fuck up

this. Get rid of Messi and all your problems will be fixed, Barçabros.

Without Suarez this team won't go anywhere

scorebordjournalistiek

>beat Madrid 5-1
>this season

>only this season counts
>even though the team last season is basically the same
Fuck off

>It's not a coincidence that coutinho was excellent for Liverpool
He was not

>>only this season counts
>>even though the team last season is basically the same

But I said this season. And the 5-1 wasn't this season. In fact it was over a year ago.

*ends up winning the treble*

>scorebordjournalistiek
nice argument

And Barcelona lost to Granada this season without Messi. What the fuck does that prove? Nothing.

LMAO

Delusion

Valverde forced Dembele to the bench to let POOtinho play in a position that he could play. The fucker literally played 2 games in the iniesta role. DeJong is their best player so far this season in the midfield.

Hot Take: THE BEST GAME THIS SEASON WAS PLAYED BY FATI - GRIEZ - PEREZ. MESHIT

sad!

Imagine being such a faggot that you have to defend Griezmann

>neymeme shiller
Reminder that Neymar was playing with PRIME Suarez, Messi, Alba, Iniesta (who was still class), and a powerful backline that kept shit under control for the team to dominate.

>Prime Iniesta
Goes off to Japan one season later.

LMAO

>powerful backline

that right back who came from sevilla sure was World Class lmao

It's hard to replace elite level players. Dembele, Coutinho and Griezmann are good but not on the same level as Neymar who can overcome a bad team and bad tactics.

Barca's biggest problem is squad composition. They need more players who make runs into space and are not ball-into-feet type.

paulinho was good for the first 1/3 of the season and then disappeared. stop this meme ffs

theyre good players but they don't fit the system barca want to play or are being played out of position. messi is still the best player in the world and this is coming from someone who routinely participates in the shitposting whenever he fucks up or loses. busquets is still a good player as well

Griezmann plays best as a 2nd striker alongside a CF or behind the striker (like he does for France), it was obvious him at Barca wasn't going to work out too well.

>Paulinho was good
Agreed

>two hues who can't accept the facts
Even if I conceded those two players, that still leaves a literal GOAT player in his prime when it came to his all round game of finishing, free kicks, chance creation, dribbling, etc.

All Neymar did outside of a couple games was do some fancy tricks and somehow that meant he was on par with Suarez and Messi to justify muh legendary front three when it was two men carrying a replaceable third wheel.

Vidal is a great sub and an utility player. Too bad he's old as fuck.

>even Andre gomes has looked like a decent CM since coming over here
More likely because PL is shit.
