I honestly believe they should have sold Messi after the 2015 CL final win and built the team around Neymar (whos an all around much better player)
They could have sold Messi for literally a Billion Euro’s to a team like Man City or PSG and ushered in a new superstar era for Barca

Messi is the problem, it's been getting worse for years. You can't build your team around one player who doesn't move and expect to win anything, football right now is about speed and pressing and Barca have none of that. He slows everything down, just like ronaldinho did when he was past his peak.
Everything must go through him. He's has to be the best midfielder, most creative player, best finisher, that isn't healthy. They're still relying on old shit like pique/Alba/busquets. It's hard to replace elite level players. Dembele, Coutinho and Griezmann are good but not on the same level as Neymar who can overcome a bad team and bad tactics.
