>F1 boss Christian Horner’s parents are said to have disapproved of the engagement ever since it was revealed in November.

>"They’re very upset by everything that has gone on and feel as though their loyalties are very divided,” the friend continued.
>Christian, 40, has a one-year-old daughter with Beverley, and is also step father to a former partner’s children. Geri, 42, has an eight-year-old daughter, Bluebell, from her previous relationship with American screenwriter Sascha Gervasi.

With the F1 drivers it's a tough thing to gauge because they've all had weird childhoods/teenage years where they put hundreds of hours into karting & junior open-wheel categories instead of doing normal stuff that most young people do on a weekday night or weekend.
I reckon a big part of Hamilton's weirdness comes from his long weekends away with his Dad at the go-karting track/crappy Travelodges
Vettel melts down at the track, but away from the sport he seems to have a pretty well-adjusted attitude towards the world and a comfy family life.

>Candide, ou l'Optimisme (/kɒnˈdiːd/ kon-DEED,[5] French: [kɑ̃did] is a French satire first published in 1759 by Voltaire, a philosopher of the Age of Enlightenment.[6] The novella has been widely translated, with English versions titled Candide: or, All for the Best (1759); Candide: or, The Optimist (1762); and Candide: Optimism (1947).[7] It begins with a young man, Candide, who is living a sheltered life in an Edenic paradise and being indoctrinated with Leibnizian optimism by his mentor, Professor Pangloss.[8] The work describes the abrupt cessation of this lifestyle, followed by Candide's slow and painful disillusionment as he witnesses and experiences great hardships in the world. Voltaire concludes Candide with, if not rejecting Leibnizian optimism outright, advocating a deeply practical precept, "we must cultivate our garden", in lieu of the Leibnizian mantra of Pangloss, "all is for the best" in the "best of all possible worlds".
It's funny, in the asides he makes it clear that he understands 100% the problem Gasly is having and what's causing it, but then in real life he just doesn't give a shit, doesn't do anything about it, his attitude is just "Fuck you Pierre race better you dumb fuck"

>As a long time fan of all aspects of Formula One good and bad, I was, for the first time, literally sickened by Michael Schumacher's actions at Adelaide. In his blinkered pursuit of glory he appears to have conveniently forgotten the roots from which the very name SPORT is derived.
>Similar actions have been witnessed in the past (Prost's removal of Senna in '89 and Senna's retaliation in '90 to name but two) but never in such a cold-blooded manner. With Prost and Senna, there was a lot of bad feeling there already which, while not excusing their actions, can at least go some way to justifying why they acted as they did. In Schumacher's case, rather than lose the championship he simply crashed into Hill.
>In case I am accused of patriotic jingoism, let me assure you that as a Scotsman I have no particular love for Damon Hill, or for that matter Nigel Mansell. I am a lso no stranger to defending drivers from attack having been a dedicated Senna nut for as long as I can remember following F1. I have had the utmost respect for Schumacher this year, he really has been in a class above everyone other than Ayrton until the last two races where Damon rose to parity. I just feel that it is a pitiful way to end an enthralling race and just sets the seal on what has been a thouroughly miserable season. To be allowed to win the championship in such a fashion (and to even accept to win with such action) is not the mark of a sportsman.

>Meanwhile the FIA takes actions one could best term as "Damage Control". Change something, anything, as long as it reassures the public that everything possible is being done to prevent more accidents. The pace of changes overtakes Pedro Lamy and he has an accident caused by the new regulations. We see old tracks get facelifts. Silverstone is no longer Silverstone. At Silverstone we get treated to a farce of a race, where a breach of protocol has gigantic repercussions. We learn the extents to which the FIA will sink in order to "improve the show". Schumacher loses 6 points and 20 more potential ones. Other drivers also get stiff punishments. Except Hill. Then we are treated to even more scandal with rumours of cheating. Again the FIA moves to "improve the show" and suddenly goes easy on the accused equipes. We see Schumacher disqualified for having a wooden plank wear away beneath his car. We ponder, 1994 or 1919? We watch as Schumacher's lead diminishes race by race as he is forced to sit on the sidelines. Then it was back to real racing and we see the Williams cars widening their advantage over Benetton each race. Schumacher wins, Hill wins in the rain and then the final showdown.
Can't quote the rest, read it by yourself, but man that dude was FIApilled and Schumipilled to the max (pun intended)

>Just got back to the US today after a 3 week trip to Europe that included the San Marino GP. I was visting a friend of mine who works in Italy and we (plus another mutual friend) spectated all three days of the GP.
>On Saturday we bought tickets for tribune "M" (where our race-day tickets were) and spectated from there. With respect to the Ratzenberger crash we had no idea how badly injured he was but it didn't look good when the medic copter took off. One stupid note: There is a helipad at the track infirmery and a medic helecopter standing by there but that helecopter took off and a second helecopter (the same one that airlifted Senna) landed and took it's place to evacuate Ratzenberger. Why have a helecopter there if it's not adiquate for the job? Why take the extra time to switch helecopters when every second may count? My only guess is that the first helecopter doesn't have a full trauma unit on board but you'd think that FISA could afford to have the best equipment standing by rather than haveing it fly in from Bologna.
>BTW: We didn't learn of what happened until we got back home and read that Ratzenburger had died on RAI teletext. If they did know at the track they didn't announce it (or my friend didn't pick it up with his poor Italian). We did take it as a bad sign when the Simtek people puled their garage door down and even worse when they covered up the remains of th car with a tarp. The Simtek crew looked positively shell-shocked.
While Ratzenberger was in the infirmery Senna walked all the way down pit lane and stood at the pit enterance and spoke with someone with "Doctor" on the back of his uniform. Senna spoke to him for several minutes, looking very uncomfortable before walking back up to his pit. BTW: No other drivers that I could see did so. Williams did not try to qualifiy after that (most of the other big-time teams except Ferrari opted out too).
I'm guessing the "DOCTOR" the poster is referring to was Sid Watkins?
Camden Gutierrez
>One fun note on an otherwise bad day. We were on TV! During the break after the Ratzenberger incident RAITRE (Italian TV) had their helecopter zoom in in a big "Ferrari Club Giles Villinuve - Belgium" banner they had erected a couple of rows above us and there we were big and plain as day. Thank god we weren't picking our noses or anything :-).
>On race day there was a Porsche Cup warm-up event. After about 10 laps or so they red-flagged the race and it was over. Only later did we here that there had been a major crash (we never saw any car being brought back though a repair truck did go out with a big piece of Armco). Last I heard (Monday) the Porsche driver was still in a coma though I hope he's recovered (anyone know?).
>Senna looked ok in the morning warm-up though many of his laps were not outstanding (though he did turn in the fastest lap). Perhaps he was nervious or perhaps it was just traffic, I don't know.
>I was *very* surprised when the Simtek team raised there garage door (which had been closed since the incident on Saturday) and rolled out David Brabham's car for the start. I'm surprised they still raced and i'm even more surprised that Brabham would even climb in the car after what happened. (BTW: He did drive a good race until he spun out, passing several cars)

>Just as on Saturday we had no information about the Senna crash at the track. They brought car back and while the damage was severe it looked much better than Ratzenbergers car and since the helecopter stayed put (we didn't know that the other helecopter had landed on the track) we assumed that he was fine. It was only when we checked RAI teletext when we got home did we learn what really happened. It's soo weird having seen him walking along the pits only a few hours before that he was dead...
>You really have to wonder about the F1 standing start after that incident with Pedro Lamy hitting JJ Lehto too. One of Lehto's or Lamay's tires flew about 40' in the air and landed in the croud. I heard that several spectators were injured and there was even a rumor that one had died (once again can anyone confirm?).
>The pit-lane accident was also something with a tire flying through the air again. this time we were more lucky with one Ferrari mechanic breaking two bones in his leg and the other two just getting brused up a bit. I think it's high time that F1 go to Indycar (no flames, please) style pit lanes and walls plus limit the number of people over that wall at any time. This time we were luck that no one was killed, but next time?
>The race was great (at the time, I feel a little guily now for having enjoyed it even though I didn't know). You should have heard the cheer when Berger took the lead. But then Berger retired but Larini drove very well and brought home second place for the home team. It's sad that Larini's first podium came on such a sad day since there's only one first time on the stand.
>Afterwards the crowd swarmed on the track and the pits but their hearts wern't really in it and everyone just milled around a bit before exiting quietly.
>The rest of the time I was in Italy we could talk about nothing but what happened even though none of us wanted to think about it. I never was a Senna fan but I'm going to miss him something awful...

I am sure Schumacher will win the championship and I am also sure that it will be sweet to him be not nearly as sweet if he had beaten Senna for the championship. Without Senna, MS really does not have any competition. In skill, MS is now in a class by himself. Others are good but MS is the only one showing symtoms of greatness. Unfortunately there are no great drivers left to challenge him unless Prost or Mansell decide to come back.

here in the UK we've still got something similar to the old BBC Ceefax pages via the "red button" on the tv remote
All the page numbers are the same as they were in the 80s and 90s
The BBC were ready to close the service down in late January but at the last second...
>The BBC has suspended the closure of its Red Button text service after protests, a day before it was due to have started being phased out.
>The news comes days after a petition, organised by the National Federation of the Blind of the UK (NFBUK), was handed in to the BBC and Downing Street.
>The service was due to have been closed over the next few weeks.
>BBC director general Tony Hall said he would examine the concerns and make "a fresh decision" in the spring.
>The NFBUK called the news "fantastic" and said it was looking forward to working with Mr Collins, the BBC and the British Deaf Association "for a better resolution".
>Its petition expressed concerns that the removal of the service would "leave many people, who are already vulnerable, further isolated and marginalised from society".
So for now in the UK you can still read football results on page 316, you can still read the politics headlines on 102, you can still find out who won the Oscars on page 502, you can still read footy transfer rumours on 338
If you fell into a coma in 1995 and woke up in 2020, it'd probably be the item of pop culture that would feel least alien to you

Sorry to lower the tone like a wheel falling on to Henry Surtees' head but the Renee's decent into utter whoredom is accelerating at a staggering rate of knots.
I might need to check it out but I don't remember the pages, it was 200s for the sports, 777 for the hard of hearing subtitles and after 800 for the phone sex services with the pixelated boobs and pin-ups that had quite an effect on the 11 yo me

>two weeks after today its get on my recommended videos on YouTube "What really happened in the 1994 porsche Ímola race?"
>I was the origional poster. I never said Williams was covering anything up. I *did* say that "something" happened. And this is open to speculation. Especially, since people have claimed to see Senna reaching for the right side of his head *before* the collision with the wall. Add to that the fact that there seems to be nothing wrong with the car after all. We may never know...
>Stroll Good for positions gained over races because he sucks at quali >Perez Good because he'll outqualify Stroll most of the time >Racing Point Chance of lots of good points early in the season >Red Bull Also solid points >Mercedes Basically a guaranteed 43 points every race >Russell Will outqualify Leaftifi regularly
Overall 9/10 Honestly this is a great team

Having 2 drivers from the same team limits your points haul
Because some of the metrics you get points for are team mate comparisons. If you have 2 team mates you will get 100% of these points. If you have 2 drivers from different teams you have the ability to get 200% of those points. Read the FAQ on the website and think about it a bit
Anyone else really like Alonso's fashion brand Kimoa? I think they look quite /fa/ and I am honestly thinking of getting a cap and a sweatshirt. I hope I won't look like a retard.
Looks like the kind of cap a petroleum company would give out at a PR event

Bahrain going to be skipped? Qatar has like 3 cases, Bahrain has nearly 50 For me it's this ascolour.co.nz/ for casual clothing
John Davis
>Bahrain has nearly 50 Well shit. RIP my weekend.
I don't even remember the last outbreaks (Avian influenza, Zika, or Ebola) are resulting these kind of cancellation, though.
Bentley Barnes
It's more about whether teams will be restricted from travelling from Italy. That is why Qatar was cancelled.
Sebastian Gomez
Zika was mainly poor island countries and Ebola was mainly poor south Africa. Exactly, Japan too. That's only half the grid effected I suppose. And then if GB puts restrictions in place no team will be able to go home and they will be like the Japanese rugby team that plays with NZ, SA, and aussie. They arent going home at all in the next 2 months from memory
Liam Butler
at least we don't get another márquez wins lol
Ayden Brown
Yeah a lot of Kimoa items have that retro feel, that's what makes them so attractive to a boomer like me.

are alpha tauri releasing merch or do they just expect you to buy from their fashion line?

The most realistic way to get as full a 'season' done would be to:
>Homologate all cars immediately so there will be no in season development requiring no returning to the factories (Yes I know we may as well just give Merc the trophy) >Find facilities and storage space in a currently unrestricted flight country that can hold 20 cars and all the absolutely necessary equipment for them to run >Go through the calendar and cut/move as many events so that there are 3 week breaks between each race >If necessary do another race at the same track a week later to boost the numbers up >After races have all the cars & equipment moved to the next venue, if not possible yet move them to the storage facility until they can be shipped out
A 3 week break between races gives enough time for the current quarantine measures for staff that need return home but teams should be encouraged to run barebones staff at events and rotate them throughout the season.
>Implying the GIRL FROM GRUNWALD didn't suck off Ian at least once

There's a pair of girls who claim to be mother and daughter that I'm really interested in, not sure if their content is good tho.
Later today, or early tomorrow I'll see if I can compile a list with some nice OF girls, then I'll post it to see if anyone is feeling generous to buy and share.
Michael Parker
Development is fine as they can send parts to places months in advance The issue is where will the races be 2bh. They need to decide whether they will move, cancel, or reschedule races. They need time for drivers and crew to be quarantined if required, same as staff, ect that actually run and broadcast the race.
I hope netflix has access to FIA atm

>Apparently 2020 Honda is a shit bike (wrong direction at development) >Marquez broken shoulder >Yamaha finding their way >Ducati's innovation Hopefully they will repeat 2016 again

ngl, I'm grateful for how safe modern F1 is, so grim seeing these posts. Hope we don't have any more fatalities in the sport. Wtf was FIA doing before the 2000s?
Aaron Harris
Pls do I try and follow Brazilian girls on that site, but the search engine is garbage on that site. I'll make a list when I get home too.
>how safe modern F1 Just watched SPA crash compilation. That run-off (where Hubert got killed) need to be reconstruct ASAP (widen the space or add gravel on it). So many drivers were lucky not to get killed by the cars behind them.

Since when did gladiators fight of their own free will, maybe the famous. But they're slaves from the start. Halos look wack but I'd rather have it than waiting for someone to die(wrapped around a tree like in the 60s) and have the sport watered down because of a high speed crash. >A crash is good for the entertainment >A death will just ruin the sport
Jackson Hall
Just found out that my favorite camgirl went from a shy and cute girl to a full blown slut who'll do anything for tips in the span on 2 months. Feels bad man, really liked her.

It's very unlikely Formula Juju will get affected by CoronaChan as all the races take place in Denmark and Juju is now living and going to school in Denmark.
So you should be able to enjoy that when the season is cancelled.
Is Formula Juju even broadcasted online tho? Besides, didn't Denmark get a few positive tests for corona? Hope it doesn't hinder her career
Cameron Jackson
LOL
Ryan Jenkins
It's ironic that last year we were memeing that Ferrari would get easy wins because the British teams would miss the start of 2020 because of Brexit, but now that 2020 is here it's actually Ferrari who might miss the start of the season because of Corona.

The entire idea of "psychopathy" is a hilarious COPE invented by unsuccessful people because they're jealous of successful people
"Psychopathic" traits are INCREDIBLY common in successful people, like CEOs
It's not even a proper DSM diagnosis LMAO

>a bunch of waffle that doesn't actually prove a thing Cool. >It's not even a proper DSM diagnosis LMAO Except it is LAMO. Just because it isnt spelt out like that book the psycopath test doesn't mean it doesn't exist >The DSM andInternational Classification of Diseases(ICD) subsequently introduced the diagnoses ofantisocial personality disorder(ASPD) anddissocial personality disorder(DPD) respectively, stating that these diagnoses have been referred to (or include what is referred to) as psychopathy or sociopathy. To spell it out for you what is referred to as psychopath is actually referred to something else if you know what your talking about.
