Do people seriously think that the "tradition" of five lugnuts was what everyone came to the racetrack for? What the hell does the amount of lugnuts have to do with the quality of NASCAR? Or do people just enjoy finding things to bitch about because "That's not what we did 30 years ago!"

People like NASCAR pitstops because they require speed, skill, technique and teamwork, while pretty much every other series does their best to minimize those traits throught the use of more crew, like f1, or streamlined kit, such as single lugnuts and airjacks.

Reducing pit requirements reduces the teamwork required to suceed, making the races more boring, and the pitstops meaningless.

What teamwork is involved in how many lugnuts the tire changer hits? What is so great about big teams spending $2m a year for faster pit stops anyways? I couldn't care less what failed handegger can smash 5 lugnuts the fastest, 90% of the improvement in that part of the stop over the last 30 years has come from air guns rather than any human element, and what makes most of the difference in pit stop times from a crew standpoint is movement and physically removing and installing the wheels while the lugs are off.

The BOP has been a computer process since 17 or 18 for every race except LeMans and it has been very good. Unless the computer suddenly gains sentience the BOP should be fine. There's also no reason for them to do it when Toyota said they want competition and Glick has supported them through everything that has happened.

Its because Florida is relatively warm this time of the year(meaning you can lots of testing without worrying about snow etc.). It’s also rough as balls(the pavement at least) which is why Indycar uses it as a test for street circuit simulations. I think the problem is will people go to Sebring for an Indycar race when there’s the St Petersburg race?

FCC TSR would definitely have access to the bike since at this point I would say they are the second highest priority Honda superbike team after HRC. Normally they might stick to the old bike for reliability reasons but they are 12th in standings almost an entire race win back from the leaders so they have nothing to protect.
