Messi, obviously.
Besides actual (natural talent), statistics also show that Messi is the better player.
Messi was the better player in his prime
Ronaldo was arguably more entertaining to watch during his MU and early RM days
Ronaldo had the more impressive career and achievements
Messi is the better player. More talented, can score like Ronaldo and also do things that Ronaldo can only dream of. Messi is also the most complete player. Can create, organize, assist and score.
Ronaldo deserves some credit though. He works his ass off and has achieved fantastic things. He also has great mentality, something that Messi doesn't have sometimes.
Waiting for Twain
based argie making an ironic post of the unending nonsensical debates about ronaldo vs messi, all while exposing these brainlets
>Ronaldo was arguably more entertaining to watch
This is false
>Ronaldo had the more impressive career and achievements
Ronaldo may have 1 more CL and an international trophy but Messi has 2 trebles
STRONGMIND vs pecho frio
they're both old and past their prime it's sad, I miss when Tsuu scored and Messi replied with a hat trick.
>mighty wolfsburg
>man city in the worst semi final of all time
>offside goal vs atletico
>that disgrace against Bayern in 2017, at least two offside goals
>agent Ulreich and agent Karius in 2018
Every stat related to Real Madrid during 2016-2018 has to come with an asterik. They had luck, referees and shitty opponents all on their side
Ronaldo at Manchester United was amazing, then he went to Spain and the sudacas ruined him, the end.
here's a reply with a (You) hat trick
the white guy obviously
the argument is not even close
PR7 is fucking shit and absolutely finished once instagram dies.
the autistic weirdo obviously
Bale
Post goals
Messi is fucking unreal
Ronaldo is a goat goalscorer. Ronaldo is a fucking beast but Messi is something unworldy. Fucking insane i get to exist in a timeline with this freak. I mean hes 1 in 7 bil
Obviously Ronaldo.
Seriously don't listen to missifags. They will value dribbles vs PSV over goals vs Juventus. Or pre-assists over trophies won. Most of Yea Forums is tsupilled, and only within this thread is one you finding their idiot apologists who project themselves into this weakmind choker.
Noone is a missifag here i just came to post this is bullshit. If you watch football you simply know messi is better, i don't like either btw
Ronaldo is a portuguese Zlatan. If Zlatan was latin descent he would've had much more opportunities in this biased world.
Messi is an all around monster player, and he has better scoring ratios than Ronaldo, which basically means he's an entire tier above him. In fact, I cannot remember a player that does what Messi does. Maybe Pele was a playmaker but I don't know, and Maradona didn't score anywhere near Messi's level.
>barcelona never had luck, referee help or faced shitty opponents in the past decade
Ronaldo: Score like a beast
Messi: Score like a beast + assist + create + organize
I think that one of the two is greater player than the other.
We've all seen them both play numerous times over the last 15 years. So we all can form an opinion of our own based on what we've actually seen combined with statistics and what not.
Both have a lot of fans and I want you to try to be as neutral as you can when evaluating these two.
Before I say who I think is the greater player, I'm going to say this, and I'm trying to be as general as I can:
The player I think of is, for the past 10 or so years, the far better player of the two. And it isn't even close. I think he's in a class of his own and the other player is a class or two below. I actually think that this player is the greatest I've ever seen.
Now most of you figured who I'm thinking about.
Why? Because advocates of that player often think the same way. On the other side, advocates of the other rarely think there's a big gap between the two, more often describing them as very close but one slightly better of the two.
And that, for me, is evidence enough who is the greater of the two.
You can say that fans of the one are cockier so they say stuff like that, or you can straight out lie and say that you thought I was talking about the other guy.
But you can't escape the truth. You've all thought of the same guy. No matter what you say. We all think the same. He's the greatest.
And I'm not naming him, because I know that it's not necessary. This debate was never really a debate and, deep down, you all know it.
How can you possible argue this in light of the fact Ronaldo has been much better in UCL, much better internationally, all the while basically replicating Messi's performance in Liga. Because he used to be a better fucking dribbler? He also loses the ball much more than Ronaldo.
>pic related is UCL stats while Ronaldo was in Madrid
pic related
STFU Estonia you dumb, radiation damaged flat footed fuck
>muh numbers
do you also think Klose is better than Messi?
is Ali Daei better than both? is Karl Malone better than Jordan? is Robert Horry better than Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron?
Since 2014 Sergio ramos has more goals in the champions league than Luis Suarez (Messi's #9). Let that sink in. It's a team sport isn't it.
Stats alone do not define greatness. I agree. What makes Jordan Jordan and Brady Brady is not just their dominating stats, but also their big game clutch performances. Performing when it matters most is the difference between a really good player, and a great player. Ronaldo objectively does so more in the biggest club games which is the UCL, and internationally. This is not debatable at all.
When has Ronaldo performed in big games internationally? The only one who comes to mind is Spain in 2018
>deflected fk
Yikes
he doesn't know what he's talking about. he only starter watching footy last year. he spams the same 5 pics in every thread, they get refuted, he sulks, then does the same thing the next time again.

He is by far the highest competitive international goal scorer in Europe.
>inb4 Lithuania
Does not explain the massive gap between him and the next closest European (28 goals). Is Messi at least also the highest in his federation by far? No. As for who performs better for their country, there is 0 argument for Messi. Seriously. I get that you're Portuguese and you might be trying to be edgy by going against the grain in your country, but there is no stat that favours Messi. So he is vastly better in UCL and Internationally while almost replicating Messi's stats in Liga:
2009-2018 La Liga:
Ronaldo:
(292 games, 311 goals, 95 assists)
goal ratio: 1.07, g+a ratio: 1.39
Messi:
(309 games, 329 goals, 124 assists)
goal ratio: 1.06, g+a ratio: 1.47
What's left? Fucking Spanish supercup?
Messi dickriders fail to realize it's not about what a player can do with the ball. It's about what he DOES when it matters. It's true Messi passes better, dribbles better, has better vision, better ball control and so on. Then suddenly he forgets how to do all that as soon as he's playing a decisive match or when he's up against actual strong teams for once rather than Betis or Valladolid. The player that makes you win is the best, that's it. Nobody cares who's the more skilled one.
If some day a stephen curry-like abomination appears in football and he starts averaging 1.3 goals from 35+yards per game he'll be the best player in the world by a country mile even if he can't pass or defend to save his life. It's a sport about putting the ball in the net, nothing else matters.
>implying there was ever a debate
only twain and dumb people that buy into marketing memes say there is
Ronaldo. Messi's a meme
>It's a sport about putting the ball in the net, nothing else matters.
Gerd Muller is better than Maradona then?
I don't know because I haven't watched either. I watched Maradona's highlights on youtube and on a really old videotape but obviously that's not enough to know for certain how good a player is. What I do know is that Cristiano doesn't shrink in big games like Messi does. I want a player that can win me trophies even if the team isn't perfectly built around him. I want a player that won't send the ball to the moon in decisive penalty shootouts, I want a rapist that can be a captain and threaten to eat everyone's ass if they don't give it their all.
> I want a player that won't send the ball to the moon in decisive penalty shootouts
Pretty sure Ronaldo missed a penalty in a CL final, bro
This is only a rivalry because of Flo Perez and the Mendes marketing machine. Messi is superior
Ronaldo has the edge now because of his international accomplishments. Messi is severely underperforming in european and international competitions. Superior on a national level offcourse,
Messi is the best player ever, there is no doubt about that, i dont think a player like that should even be possible to live. Penaldo is greater now tho.
Like come on nigga, not even one fucking copa america when you played in like 15 of them. Should just picked Spain and you would have been the goatest of goats.
Messi is better if you want to watch exciting football. Ronaldo is better if you want to watch exciting underwear ads.
true but he also scored the goal that kept them in the game in regular time. Are vou an immigrant brazilian by any chance? because it's weird seeing a Portugal flag chatting shit about Cr7
I've met people in Portugal that think Messi is better. What's the big deal lol I don't hate CR7
Deep down even Portuguese know Messi is a better footballer. Ronaldo is physically more impressive than Messi but that's it.
He is obviously Al Fonso on a proxy
>was
Kek
yeah well they're wrong lmao
It's a sport. Skill and athleticism are both important. Messi fails to utilize his talent properly in big games. Cristiano does not. Therefore he's better.
>Pretty sure Ronaldo missed a penalty
Na he smashed it but Cech made a great save, he didn’t “miss”
>Hue logic
