no

Offside is offside

>it was only a bit offside so it should be a goal!!!

ladies and gentlemen, your 2019-20 player of the season

Who other spazy autistics thinks var is a good thing? The best thing about football is celebrating, and if var ruins that for much fairness then it's a failure and should be scrapped

what else do you want? for them to start counting atoms?

No. They need to adopt the NFL standard on needing 100% proof to overturn the referee's on-field ruling.

Funny that a lot of people were opposed to VAR because it takes away a bit of drama and controversy. In reality, there's nothing more dramatic and funny than teams celebrating goals and having them ruled out (especially late goals).

Offside is bullshit they should be allowed to go where they want

imagine losing the title because of a call like this. var is a farce

Everyone would just camp in the penalty box and wait for the hoof.

>NOOOOOOO YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHEAT

Attached: 1566561470775.jpg (199x253, 14K)

Yes.

Literally nothing wrong with that. Defending would need to adjust and there would be more counter attacking opportunities

How does the attacker gain an advantage from that 1 millimetre gap, its stupid. Either Var needs to change or the rule needs to change.

Ashes

I feel that the precision is a little silly. If it’s close enough that the lines on their computer are overlapping and you could never tell from the naked eye, it’s marginal enough that the distance wouldn’t have made a difference.

>"But we thought people wanted extreme scrutiny and absolute precise refereeing with VAR?"
>Meanwhile Jack Grealish has a goal disallowed for falling over in the build up and VAR does nothing.
Football is worse off with this VAR., they absolutely must be trying to fuck the technology over.

>Call decisions this tight
>Refuse to invest in cameras >50 FPS

Fucking retards

>The best thing about football is celebrating

any News on injuries?

Lol like them twats used to do in school

>it was only a bit offside
The technology isn't accurate enough to say whether it's offside or not at such tiny margins.

Therefore none of us know whether it was offside, therefore var guessed.

he's absolutely right you soiboy twat. if you want autism sports go watch NFL or rugby or some other dull stop-start incremental "sport" where there is no spontaneous joy that a goal brings

dumb nigger cunt, stop trying to yankify the sport

Either this, or just do it based on their feet, which you can at least map accurately.

No chance. VAR is bullshit cancer killing the game. And I'm alright with that

This.
Doesn't matter if it's 1mm, offside is offside.
That's like saying "but officer, I was only SLIGHTLY racist".

>dumb nigger cunt, stop trying to yankify the sport

Attached: 1556749391770.png (785x731, 205K)

there's nothing wrong with racism tho

Football has been solved

>No fair, you changed the outcome by measuring it!

Attached: VAR.png (1920x1080, 1.53M)

Just do away with goals and let possession decide games.

It's still a more educated guess than by a linesman.

Solid OC

>The answer is 33 cameras are used in one match, including 8 Super Slow Motion cameras and 4 Ultra Slow Motion cameras with speeds up to 120 frames per second, in addition to normal speed cameras with degrees Ultra HD resolution

Broadcast resolution is not the same as VAR cameras dumbarse.
It's always a correct ruling when it comes to offside with VAR.

Offside means offside

>the tip of your elbow is 0,5 centimeters forward, therefore this is offside

And people fucking applaud this retarded VAR, this is not Tennis were if the ball touched the line, even if only slightly, the point should be valid.
What kind of advantage the forward has in this situation? This rule was only created so players won't camp in front of the goal.

Can't score with your elbow m8

VAR literally saved football.

Need challenge flags and referee's call for marginal decisions

correct

VAR is cancer

hmmm maybe the players should stop being offside?

>var is just wasting time and ruining the game
>we need to be able to challenge this objective fact just in case it was wrong

Simply adjust the offside ruling and do so to benefit the attacking team.
Clear daylight between the last defender and the attacker for it to be offside.

he means the challenge flag would activate VAR

>clear daylight
What happens when it's an evening game in the winter?

How many incidents that marginal even lead to goals? Anything like this would still go to VAR and it wouldn't change anything

please stop being a brainlet

This is the simplest fix but no doubt it would take years to come into effect because they're adamant that VAR now is fine and they can't go back on their decision.

Pwopa mint banter this, lad.

It would be handy for when a player gets scythed down and the ref wasn't looking.

They use moonlight obviously

VAR, along with calls to sanitize football (removing """toxic""" behavior from football), are a conspiracy against white working classes to demoralize them further and take away what little happiness they might have. The elites are itching for violence and civil wars and they will do anything to make proles fight against proles. We're just lab rats.

Objectively offside
Faggots have robbed City twice, I bet that fat fuck pudge loves VAR now

I just want a game to last no more than 110 minutes from kickoff to final whistle

yes

who decides what "clear daylight" is in centimeters ?
fucking autistic thread

If they want us to fight why woudn't they have just kept football as it was? You know, when it was full of cunts fighting every weekend.

>football
>offside is measured from elbow or shoulder

?

Would you say that using VAR on offsides is a Jewish consipiracy?

Attached: 1541505356149.jpg (2000x1331, 106K)

Who mentioned anything about centimetres? If you cannot see a gap between the last defender and the attacking player then it is not offside.

It's measured from the point that is allowed to use to play the ball. That includes shoulder but not elbow.

That Spurs feel la

The point is to remove any spontaneous reaction to the game, to scream in happiness, to condition the masses into a slave mindset where they don't celebrate things anymore. This alongside other developments in this century are pointed to make us behave like thoughtless machines who won't feel relief anymore, just work endlessly to make them rich.

Attached: hell.jpg (1024x749, 103K)

You'll all feel different when it's your team that benefits from a marginal decision.

As a lifelong Leicester fan I was happy with the decision. People forget that there's always a happy side with any var decision. Usually because it's only an issue when the big club thats being bandwagoned gets the decision against them

Look at the brains on this lad.

Yeah but by a linesman you understand that there is a margin of error, that is why it was conveyed the "same line" principle.

When you put a machine that is not accurate at all, but remove the same principle, you just get inaccurate analysis.

no, it’s still annoying and shit

>spuds

time for Poch and Kane to jump ship

>but officer
>that flag
Kek

Le butthurt City plastic

I used to disagree with this view but I saw the highlights for NFL recently and it is beyond fucked in terms of autistic ref video calls ruining the flow.

The EPL literally does this shit on purpose to artificially generate drama each week. They intentionally make VAR look like a complete shitshow just so people have talking points. It's all manufactured.

>so why did you not overturn the Callejon dive in the Napoli Liverpool game?
>ah, you see it wasn't a clear and obvious error
>so why did you call offside on a player that was literally a single millimetre offside?
>CLEAR AND OBVIOUS IT WAS CLEAR AND OBVIOUS
VAR isn't there to help the game. It's there to protect referees even more.

CLEAR AND OBVIOUS ERRORS

The offside rule is there to avoid players from taking advantage. It was made so strikers wouldn't stay the whole time next to a goalkeeper and to make the game more dynamic.
To be so precise, down to a couple of centimeters is ridiculous, truth is that there's no advantage being taken from such a short distance. This isn't a horses race.
The VAR should be there only for CRASS mistakes, things that you notice even without pausing it many times and analyzing it from many angles. An offside that was so clear you'd think the linesman is bought off, a player that attacked another when the referee couldn't see it, etc.
The only thing that should be analyzed to the millimeter is whether if the ball came in the goal or not, everything else should have a reasonable margin of tolerance.

That would make a tie impossible, because the team losing would be forced to attack with few people or suffer another goal.

>That's like saying "but officer, I was only SLIGHTLY racist".

Attached: buenos aires.jpg (894x480, 25K)

No point in having linesmen at all then. If it's all computerised, it's a millisecond decision much like GLT.

you can have VAR and not do this weird computer stuff

Attached: 1560668000120.png (587x355, 158K)

lol why is Tottenshit at the center of every dubious VAR call every week?

Did not watch this game, only looking at the photo.

Is he not a mile off? The only reason he looks even remotely onside is due to the camera angle.

Certainly not a mile off. Maybe an inch or 2 but looks level really

Not really. The same stupid thing happened to Sterling against West Ham. The technology cannot be accurate to a few centimetres or less, therefore it isn't reliable within that margin of error. The attacking player should be given the benefit of the doubt since he appears to be level. VAR was supposed to correct game changing, terrible errors not to measure someone a few millimetres offside. This is an unforeseen consequence of VAR, they need to have a VAR referee to use common sense to apply the laws in the spirit of the game in situations this tight.

I absolutely agree
The technology is not 100% percent reliable, different angles show different things.
Until we get a last man camera running parallel to the pitch, the offside rule should get a 1 foot leniency

He's either offside or isn't, and looking at it he is.

Spurs are just the biggest whinging bitches in football and have the media up their arse.

which part of him is offside?
