One user asked if it is weird if he goes to a game where he had no affiliation with either school. The answer is no, just go and leave early if the game sucks.
What makes hs football great?
1. Community. Get to mingle with the local population. 2. Band plays. 3. Games can get really good. Coaches role the dice a lot more on fourth down. 4. Interesting uniforms. Some original others are stolen nfl and college logos with different color schemes. 5.strategy diversity. Some unique stuff gets seen at the hs level. Flexbone, T, wing-t, splitback veer, wishbone, single wing, I, power I, and run n shoot still found here. 6. Great coaching and discipline often beats out poorly coached talent. It happens often. 7. Cheap concessions and admission and good view of the field. 8. The cheerleaders and drill team girls are bonus eye candy for some of you lonely boys.
Close game. Ended early because both teams ran the ball. 20-12 good guys.

Meme-T Rb coach checking in. We lost 40-7 Tonight. But were way better on offense than our first three weeks. Just graded the film. Average from the RBs was 78%. We practiced blocking a bear front all week, they came out in 40 look. Lots of missed assignments, but was proud I only had about 8 - effort plays. Team we played was also really explosive offensively. Would have been a lot closer if we tackle better and play assignment football. Which is imperitivie when youre not very talented. Got a winnable one this week, gonna get at it early tomorrow. Told my fellow coaches today we are like woodpeckers in a petrified forest, just gotta keep pecking and look for opportunities.

We went for it on 4th twice, and got it. Faked a punt and got blown up. Our defense (which is the the best part of our team atm) Got shredded. My teams issue is, we just dont have a running back on our entire team whose got "it". Were gonna struggle. We did a lot of good things tonight though, but then put the ball on the ground which killed us. (Bad snaps, QB threw a couple picks) If we eliminate those mistakes were in the game. Our biggest fuck up was when we decided they were gonna bear us and practiced it all week. I was 100% they were gonna do it cause they did it to last years team running the same offense. This year they just came out in their base D and we didnt know how to block it based on their front. Thats the biggest downfall with the meme-T is if you get a front your kids dont know how to block its gonna go bad. Such is HS football.

I think, 4 punts? Turned over on downs once. I dont have the stat sheet in front of me. Our D gave up a ton of big plays. We did grind the clock, it was literally o comes off after an 7 play drive, they score, were back on the field, rinse and repeat. We were a bit outmatched tonight. But We could have called a better game. Anyway, I gotta head to bed. Ill check in a bit earlier next week to get the thread going.

Alma mater just lost to cross town rival earlier. Feels bad man.
NFhs rules comitee destroyed that obvious travesty of the game. They were exploiting a punt formation rule and the nfhs said that you can only do that on 4th down. Plus the teams doing it never went anywhere.
Took shots from tonight’s show. Next show time @ 6am. Was shown on an alternate due to Rangers playing their sub 500 season in Oakland. But it will be on at 6am central.
