How do we fix the two leg system

How do we fix the two leg system

Do literally nothing
It creates kino year after year
Can't get rid of a good thing just because a few sub-chimp mongoloids don't get it

Just get rid of away goals meme and it's fixed

Just do a best of three (matches) without away goal. 1 home, 1 away, 1 at a neutral if tied.

So if its barca vs liverpool: 1 at barca, 1 at liverpool. If each won a game regardless of score, play a third in like france or something. No tie games.

Just have one game in a neutral stadium

Based

neutral is also tied

away goals is outdated. The original ideia was to prevent potential overtimes. But now, whats the deal? Most still go to overtime but penalty shootouts are cancer. I would bring back the golden goal and if tied go to penalties, simple as. N-not a portista btw hahahaha

This.

Barca flopping back to back. Kino.

>Away goals rule:What is it
>What is it
cringe
this

Away goals is the stupidest thing ever

>oh no, this isn't my stadium, the people use blue instead of red oh the huge manatee, pls gib more goals.

nigger tier reasoning.

If tied after two legs eliminate both teams.

Just spam more games lol

ONE LEG, ONE GAME, NEUTRAL SITE

>after the 180 minutes, the away team still has the advantage in the extra time
that's bullshit, I hope they change it

The only thing that has to be changed is that in the event of overtime, it counts as "neutral ground."
As it is now, the team playing on the road for the 2nd leg has an extra 30 minutes to score an away goal during overtime. Not a good system.

United vs Bayer 2002 Semi final.
Not ONCE were United losing that match over two legs yet we still got dumped out because of this stupid rule. Still fuming, I was like 5 years and I didn't have a clue.

>Away goals rule
>What is it
Obviously written by an American

get rid of goals
matches decided by fairplay

Problem is, teams already play a lot of game a season. I dont think increasing game count will do them a favor.

>ignoring the statistics that categorically prove 'home advantage' has a positive outcome on the result

Based
More match in one season, team will not give their best potential
Good opinion, but i dont think fifa will have enough iq to detetemine this

the way to solve this is to only play ONE match in a neutral country setting and also do away with groups that act like mini-leagues

this way we reduce the amount of games played and raise the stakes

also do away with extra time because the players don't need additional game time

The ones who cry about away goals are the ones who can't defend a 1st leg lead at home: Here's looking at you PSG/Man City/Juventus

>regardless of score
yikes

Only retards hate the away goals rule

They’ll never do this. Less games=less money

the away goal rules is in place to discourage away teams from defending 90 minutes with 11 players in the box

A part of me wants the drama to remain, but the rule itself is pretty stupid. Maybe we should try without it for a year and see what happens.

underdog manages a 1-1 away
then exactly that happens at home

underdog manages a 1-0 at home
then exactly that happens away

underdog manages a 0-0
exactly that happens as they try to get to penalties

retard tier reasoning

>completely fuck over the local fans
Sounds like something UEFA would do desu

as a compromise, they should just play half of the matches with the away goals rule appied and half of them without, chosen at random

the brits tried it last year in their league cup competition. you can check chelsea vs tottenham semi-finals and take your own conclusions. I don't know if they'll be keeping it for this year

Playing football with two legs is the best system, have you SEEN the Paralympics?

I mean CL is an international competition and none of us complain about local fans being "fucked over" when it's World Cup/Euro Cup time. The creme de la creme of football plays far too many games in a year and this change would directly benefit them. If there are no footballers then there are no fans (and vice versa), but in this case I think their health should be an important subject and a large part of me is sick to death of hearing "they were tired" as an excuse.

german tier joke
well done, Nige

By having a 7 leg system

Danke

it will only go if UEFAlona keep losing in the Champions League kek

American and anglo chimping out on the beatiful game, like pottery.

>tf
>tp
Fuckoff faggot

>lets americanize everything because our mutt brains arent flexible enough to learn new things from all the congested blood

Redpilled

>extra time goals don't count as away goals
>if both games are draws (eg 0-0 at home, 2-2 away) game still goes to extra time, no team should be able to advance without winning a game
Everything else is fine.

you’re right; may the greatest cartel win in one single shootout, then genital mutilation, then beheading, then hanging

This

Multiball is always an answer.

If it's undecided after 2x90 they could look at who won most of the 4x45.

This.

Just remove extra time and go straight to pens then the advantage the away team gets is eliminated

THIS

>britanon actually posting a relevant opinion
I'm proud of you

This is true. But going to extra time + benuldies more often could be kino too

home advantage is real, as long as referees will be humans they will always favour the home team unless the home team is a tiny club against a powerhouse club

I liked it.

coin toss desu

>I mean CL is an international competition and none of us complain about local fans being "fucked over" when it's World Cup/Euro Cup time
Because it's different and one does not follow the NT as closely as our team.

Now imagine me. My team managed to get in the EL this year. I'm happy cuz we'll have 3 home games and I'll attend 2 away games. With this neutral game rule that wouldn't be possible

> N-not a portista
Hope that you're not and you're just a Moor false flag. If you are then go fuck yourself, let the away goals rule alone, it was our own damn fault for not defeating Krasnodar, stop bitching and making us look bad

Attached: Imagem19.png (871x832, 540K)

Just skip directly for the penalties then

why not flip a coin if it's a draw amirite

Away goals are the true pleb filter. The only clubs that hate it are soulless corporations who have every game feel like an away fixture.

this

It's fucking simple: away goals don't count extra during overtime.

So best of three is Americanizing now? I'm pretty sure it's been a thing since the first Greek man wrestled a Greek boy. All jokes aside I'm sure it's been around a long time.

fpbp

>underdogs will usually play defensibly
woah Hans real revolutionary take here.
This has nothing to fucking do with away goals, you see it every week in league football.

Away goals rule should only count if one side has scored 1 or more goal away and the other team hasn’t scored any. If both teams have scored at least one goal away from home it should go to extra time and penalties

I watched the CL throughout the year for the first time and absolutely love the rule. Please dont change things when I finally get into a real sport

Good idea, but only to replace the Final.

All year long you play each leg with two games, and for the most important of them all, only one game ?

that's more or less how it's done in futsal play-offs, but the 3rd game is in the home of the team that finished above in the league

no ties, even the first two games can go to penalties

you realise playing away from home includes travelling, staying in foreign enviroments and having alternate training schedules?

>Most still go to overtime
across the past 5 seasons, 8.5% of ties have gone to extra time. over the last three years it is under 5%
