slightly modified UI, a couple new in-match shouts they'll try to make out as being much more important than they are, a handful of new private chat options, and a bunch of bullshit challenges/scenarios etc. that nobody here will bother with would be my guess

>work lmao just slap the same attributes as with men, the only things are 1) modify regen algorithm (they're doing it anyway), 2) make sure you can't play men in women's team and vice versa (optional)
there are at least three things that are cursed here
>qualify for CL after barely scraping by the Salzburg RB 2:1 home 0:0 away >decide to fuck around with tactics, mentality and whatnot >obviously lose most attempts, never win once >fuck it, overload >obvious 1:6 >'what if I use the auto-score button' >4:1 win >mfw I think maybe I am the problem

Of Forge and Cavalry's remaining games the only ones I'd have trouble betting on would be the ones they play against one another. If either club isn't getting favourable odds against the rest of the league it's easy money.

last game of the season - we're second with 58 points while AIK are first with 60. They play Ostersund (mid table) away while we play Orgryte (local rivals who're facing a relegation battle) at home.
Leo Baker
AIK won and we lost to our local rivals at the last minute - ensuring their survival. I should just resign
Logan Flores
But next season's championship will be even sweeter thanks to this season's colossal failure.
Caleb Lewis
Relegating your rivals isn't all it's cracked up to be. Losing derby days makes the next season less special.
Logan Edwards
well, technically. Our striker core are all loanees and I secured all of them for atleast another year. I have enough depth at almost all positions except maybe for full backs (no youngsters there), and I'll be looking at getting another solid Swedish midfielder (need home grown players) while selling some other subs.
European football is sweet too but the low coefficient doesn't help.
Nolan Turner

Absolutely NICE. Not only knocked off a team a leading the league above me, but did it in style. I gave away my 3-0 lead just to snatch it away and score 3 more.

desu... now that I recall... 2 months ago I was trying to load as many English leagues as possible, with the hopes of loading my hometown team, in the tenth tier. I spent about 25 years turning Turkey into one of the most dominant football nations, but still couldn't win the world cup. Instead, Russia won. Romania also won in 2022 thanks to two of the best centre back regens in the world. I don't have their attributes available.
Leverkusen became a powerhouse in Europe winning 2 CLs and were 10 times German champs between 2020 and 2035. They had 2 godly regen strikers that both won the balloon door in that period. I should mention that from 2028 onwards, I won over half of the CLs, so they could have won more.
hey, they're just trying to get in touch with their Turkish roots, what with Germany in 2038 being Turk and all

newfag here, what are the main differences between having a normal workload and a high workload for all the year?
if you mean a coach's workload, I think the higher it is the less effective they are but for players, I think a high workload pisses off players who aren't highly professional/athletic (and maybe increases injury risk for injury-prone players too, idk) but can improve them faster if they're content with the training tl;dr it's not a huge deal, just monitor your players as you go along to see if they're upset about it
Matthew Jackson
thanks, so i can make them work harder only if they are happy
433 is fucking awful in the match engine since you get countered to death, switched to a flat 4141 and were even better. Wish i knew about this before
Connor Torres
This guy makes no sense. He's 37 with Herculean physicals, and absolutely no tekkers or mentals. He's been playing since 1998, you'd think he'd at least be able to do 50 keepy-uppys.
I saw recently they're considering entering a team in the English pyramid. Except I can't remember if it was one of the actual national teams, some combination of the two or one of the current clubs.

Each ME "improvement" or addition breaks another thing and makes it worse. One year certain type of tactic is OP and the next year by trying to fix it they swing it too far the other side where that tactic becomes obsolete and opens the door for another OP tactic. Also despite not looking much better it keeps running worse with each instalment
Brandon Ward
Apparently ticking "work ball into box" worked wonders for my tactic
>3 minutes into debut >player is indicating he wants to be subbed off, it looks like a bruised knee Interesting. "Pussy" never came up on his scouting report.

Dunno why you wouldn't always have that checked. Without it implies shots from distance and early crosses.

By the looks of the stripes, against KF I think.

That sounds about right. I probably have myself decent loyalty but mediocre ambition. Could I beg you to post my career stats just to date my autism?
Joshua Barnes
You have any save working at the moment?
I usually have large DB loaded and if you go to the country pages of Jamaica/Costa Rica/etc you can either look club-by-club or go straight to the U19 NT. Stuff just pops up from time to time. One of my favorite regens from my old Gibraltar save was from Turks & Caicos
>Doesn't have Caribbean DBs loaded for this save >Needs to turn on England Fugg. >Not sure why you'd want to Memes mostly.
Wyatt King
Briefly in 15. Didn't last too long because I wanted to go back to 14. Was managing Kissamikos who then merged with AO Chania to become AO Chania−Kissamikos, which makes sense.
Beautiful. 2-0 down after 3 minutes, best striker gets injured immediately after, still pulled it back. That Wessex league cup trophy is gonna look very nice on my club page.

He wants a £300 appearance fee, but I could get it a bit lower. Do I bang? Could use a passable AMC. This guy has to boost attendances.
Nolan Diaz
Oh nice. I walked out of his first contract negotiation and on the second time he took a £100 appearance fee.
Liam Smith
He got a 6.1 and I scraped a draw only after subbing him.
Cameron Peterson
Unfortunate.
Ryder James
My assman has taken control of the last 17 games, since despite stomping the league, I got knocked out of all the cups in the 2nd round and I was hoping I could get promotion before I go to bed. He's been gradually throwing away this grip over the title. The 0-1 home loss to Bideford is especially painful since he used all the subs at half time and lost a guy to injury in the 54th minute. It was also my only loss of the season. 8 games to go with a 4 point lead, and Aliens is finishing soon. Massive pressure. Just like the pressure Ripley was put under to go to that godforsaken planet.
I can't continue. I need to play this final match but I'm so tired. 8 points clear with 3 games remaining. Next match is at Bideford. I can hopefully party at theirs when I wake up. Good night /tribble/.
Will FM2020 be the GOAT? Also is there a more Chad tactic than the 3-3-3-1 Wide?
Ryan King
Also, here's Trovarn. Captain and club icon in his second season. He's not even getting an appearance fee and no other club will even attempt to poach him due to his love for this club. He's getting a statue outside the stadium that will bear his name.

James Ross
Unfortunate but accurate.
Alexander Gomez
A little odd. Quorn are in the Midlands League, which is the 9th tier, but have a bad League 2 quality team. They probably have one of the best squad in all of the non-leagues. Most of these players were at premier league teams. They just won their league with 39 wins, 3 draws, and 0 losses. They did get a new chairman and have a 200k estimated value.
Rate my intended Argentina squad. I wanted to call up Gonzalo Montiel as my backup right back, but he's injured for two months and won't accept a call up currently.
This is the finalized squad, for playing South Korea and Singapore. Some real rough games to start with. In October, we play Japan and then Brazil in South Korea.
This decides whether I crack on with this new save or drop it until FM20.
Chances are I continue anyway and still buy the game, because I'm retarded.
Matthew Flores
He was there before me and i cant tell him to fuck off. He just approved sale of a promising kid too god damn it I knew the moment the board said "would you mind working with a DoF" that it was bad news but i still took the damn job
Season is currently 0-0-5, love it. Somehow we stunned top of Championship Brighton in the Carabao so i know these fucks can win they just choose not to
Tyler Parker
Guys, I'm playing FM14 after a few years off and after the sixth season it's lagging like crazy, any known fixes?
Carter Wood
do you have to pay for this game or is there a way to download it for free?
Connor Foster
It ain't free my dude
Michael Ward
Of course you can download it for free somewhere. Figure it out yourself.
>footballmanager.com/feature/playing-time-pathway Mitebcool desu Though maybe its just easymode for youth handling. I mean you can just promise they'll be a regular by the time they hit 20 or 21 which will appease them and if they aren't it means they've flopped anyway and you won't care if they are pissed off
Another minor but good improvement imo, always seemed silly that you never knew how important/unimportant various philosophies etc were or how you were doing in regards to it until they were already pissed off with you or ecstatic.
You are under a delusion that you're free, but you're not. You will be back, crawling on your knees for your daily /trb/ and FM fix
Bentley Anderson
So it's an update all about youth. Not terrible, I guess.
Camden Hall
I'm ok with it definitely but my expectation is the balance will be bad and every top tier team will have Messi tier players in every position inside 15 years
Nathaniel Miller
Possibly. Ultimately, there's going to be a significant flaw in every single SI update.
It's probably just a new screen without actually adding any features to """"development"""
Bentley Young
A sort of reputation in the lines of "career ruiner" that would scare players away from your teams, especially younger ones would be a good balance to that.
But they probably won't think about that till FM2024
Isaac Perry
I've been memeing around with the 4-4-2 and I just won the farmer's league. I feel like my strikers and midfield are underutilized, any suggestions? I'm trying to play a 3-5-2 when in possession. >I actually know the keeper personally

>not even that, you just see your regular youth
>The Development Centre will also offer a preview of your yearly youth intake. For so long it’s been a date in the diary for all managers to look forward to, but now you’ll get information before the new crop of talent arrives so you can gauge the level of talent and plan accordingly. In the months leading up to the arrival of your youth intake, you can visit the ‘Youth Candidates’ tab in the Development Centre to access the preview. Not only will you see an indication of how strong that year’s intake will be including whether there are going to be any high potential players coming through but also any positions that are going to be well covered by the intake.
I mean you can argue it works exactly the same you just get a bit of info before they actually even arrive in the intake but it's a welcome tweak to just having 20 unknowns dumped on you knowing a minimum of 18 of them will be shite
Sebastian Flores
must have missed that Well, it's a small change, but a welcome one
Gavin Thomas
>but now you’ll get information before the new crop of talent arrives so you can gauge the level of talent and plan accordingly But that takes away from the experience of getting wunderkinds at MR three years in a row despite my tactic not using wengers.
Colton Davis
mate the games just trying to give you competent wingbacks
>competent wingbacks Created from wengers? Good one.
Jaxon Young
this
>retrain winger because he's fast as fuck and a good dribbler >he'll tear defenses apart, we'll have so much ability out wide! >he just dawdles on the ball and doesn't defend

Christopher Russell
Since when can clubs issue instructions for competitive games?
>Also despite not looking much better it keeps running worse with each instalment Doubt Google knew what they were doing when they said they'll have FM on Stadia.
Oh wait, "Cup GK" means he'll OBVIOUSLY will want to play in the EL and CL. It's not even out and it's already broken. I can see it.
James Scott
>[Ask assistant for advice regarding team selection] >assistant manager tersely recommends directing inquiries about problems to the board and thereafter ignores you

My best memory from 18 is playing in Conference North and having my CB complain to me about him playing out of position when I used him for the last 20 minutes of a match after my keeper went down with an injury and I didn't have one on the bench since it's Conference North after all.
He spent the next few months [Unh] and [Slt] about it.
Oliver Bennett
I like to imagine that Slt stands for "player is salty as fuck from crying like a little bitch"
Josiah Cox
for me, it's Slut
Jace Sullivan
Anybody know why my fm 18 is crashing during matches? I installed facepacks, logos and kits. Could it be something with my driver or graphics card?
Ryder Powell
Posting so his memory is kept alive, I'm so sorry that I deleted the save before I got to see how good you would become.
It's mainly UI updates lads.. Everything that has been announced so far except for the graphics is a UI update.
Hudson Diaz
Board vision and playing time update is new features even if it's pretty underwhelming
Camden Martin
"More dynamic personalities that change over time depending on more circumstances in game" seems like they've finally fleshed out the determination booster/killer events.
Joshua Harris
What's a good team for someone who's never played before? Playing FM17
Jaxson Murphy
Its your tactics
Ethan Jenkins
Are career ending injuries in the game? It feels the worst I've seen is a 9 month ACL injury
Daniel Gray
I've seen potential career ending "viral infections" that last for years but they're very rare. Any player over 30 who gets a really bad injury might retire, I saw someone post a Messi who retired in his 20s a few years back
Jason Lopez
Board vision is just a UI upgrade to philosophies, the time line is new but meh, and the 5 year plan is whatever.
Brayden Garcia
Particularly odd when most managers don't get past the two to three year mark at a club. It's just more constraints for seasoned players since when you start a save, you pretty much know where you're going and how you're gonna get there. It's again a feature for the plebs and we can go fuck ourselves for wanting something ore substantial. Like a less retarded AI.
James Lewis
They need to make a new match engine. Their problem is that when they fix something on this one, another thing breaks. So it's constantly in a swing of brokenness... Not that anything new they make won't be broken but at least they can build it with this experience in mind
It's not just the ME, it's how FM works overall that needs a fix. Less Reputation™ and more common sense in the decision making. I don't expect AIs to always be logical, just a bit less retarded. But then I'm asking a lot of AIs in vidya in general, and in FM in particular. It's a game that pretends to be a sim but is shit as simulating reality because it assumes and is based on certain things to always be fixed when they're not IRL. "Realism" doesn't only mean being realistic right now, it's also about allowing evolution to take place instead of having a very static game world.
And if it could stop processing like shit on heavily multi-threaded CPUs it'd be good too.
Jayden James
tfw your first-choice goalie gets injured so you use the backup for a few weeks then you forget to put the first choice back in after he's well again for 5 games
Sebastian Bennett
>not doing an assmans quick pick and manually correcting it
Camden Myers
>ever trusting your staff to do anything
Henry Jackson
patricians way of doing it.
Caleb Smith
I think reputation is a good enough system to simulate reality. At most they'd need to adjust how exactly it influences decisions and how its gained and lost. I'm not sure what you mean by evolution but if you mean that reputation doesn't allow for certain things like having a Leeds-like drop off, or a Wolves-style rise (buying good players in the championship) I'd agree
John Bennett
Insanity.
Jordan White
pick a good club in a league with little competition. like real/barca, bayern, psg, maybe one of the east/south eu teams like dinamo, maribor, etc.
After battling through the qualifying rounds to reach the first round proper of the FA cup, I nearly had it snatched away from me. Thankfully the opposing defender felt sorry for me and gave me a replay. Thanks, Jack.
>I think reputation is a good enough system to simulate reality Ain't my problem: it's more that Reputation is a way bigger factor than about everything else and affects about every aspect of FM. >I'm not sure what you mean by evolution Evolution of the overall game world. Youth Rating is fixed, player values and wages are based on fixed values in the db, continental club and international competition reputation is fixed, so on and so forth.
It's not so much a question of "is it likely that the AFC CL will become more reputable than the Libertadores", it's a question of "if you play your card rights and play long enough, can you actually raise the level of Asian football to become a global force on par with South American football"? The former would be unrealistic; the latter should be possible instead of having a hard cap on what's possible or not because it wasn't likely in 2019. This kind of evolution should be very rare but possible throughout the decades.
Oliver Clark
nobody cares about international matches anyway.
Jayden Peterson
International and country reputation has some influence on the quality of the country's youth intake. Not enough to override youth rating, but enough to create a "golden generation".
Benjamin Barnes
>This kind of evolution should be very rare but possible throughout the decades. Sounds like this thread's wet dream.
Also, >page 9
Christopher Cook
He was making sense at the time.
My dream changes. I would love if there were events like wars in the future. Just a small chance of "political instability" in every country, and after a few years, top European nations' youth intakes would be full of Australian regens fleeing the Australian civil war.
Julian Garcia
tfw club legend and captain of two promotions is out of his depth
5 wins and a draw in the last 6 and I've dragged myself on top of the table. I just wanted to sneak into the playoffs. That draw was against Beaconsfield.
Does anyone else get players changing skin colours all the time in FM18? I got chinese guyes who have bleached their skin, white guys who go black as night, black guys going full Jacko.
Is it just because it's a pirated version?
Xavier Hernandez
It's so bizarre. They're still a league below me, but they have better players in every position. Some of these are Championship quality. They even have Martin Kelly from Liverpool and Palace. They have 7 internationally capped players and most of them are in their prime years with a young bench. All of these players are on amateur contracts, with no bonuses. The club is still semi-pro. They're still in their original stadium, their original facilities, and have an obscure reputation. I've poached a couple of their subs, but their starters ask for more wages than all my players combined. As stated before, they got a new chairman, but he hasn't made them professional and the players are still >doing it for free. Another strange thing is that they have one president and nine directors. I don't know what that would mean towards obtaining better players. Just the one scout. They're once again stomping their league with 1 loss, 1 draw, 30 wins and a GD of +73.
So why have all these decent players congregated in Quorn?
No. Happens to me all the time too on a legit copy. I don't know the solution. I tried reloading my skin a few times, but the same problem would re-appear after some time. Another issue I had was the player faces merging with the manager's face (pic related). For regen's faces, they fucked up big on fm18.
finally got all the logos in my division together. just my luck I got the one with the ugliest logo but some of these handegg logos just don't translate to FM's 180x180 restriction.
Fucking christ. I can wrap up the title with just a draw. At home. >4 shots, 3 goals >2 CCCs, both hit the bar Fucking hell Mike. Why are you doing this?
Hello /trb/, now that the dust has settled, should I get FM19? Been playing 15 for a few years, but have lost total interest in the past year or so. Is it worth while getting 19?

They keep doing stupid shit like buying Callum Wilson for 35m and then not playing him. Loaned out Ozil but still paid his full wage.
Can anyone upload WorkTheSpace's shortlist for FM19?

This is the most pleb thing I've ever seen somebody ask, not only are you too lazy to scout your own fucking players you also want somebody to give you a shortlist you can load into your save to prevent you having to manually search and shortlist each player.
desu I'm surprised this sort of troll hasn't been done before considering how pleb tier it is.
